Levi "Heicho" = Captain Levi.
"Lance Corporal" is wrong translation. Guys are watching the bad translation ones.
Erwin "Danchou" = Commander Erwin
Also, Corps is pronounced as "Core", otherwise "Corps" means dead bodies - corpse.
Survey Corps = Chosa Heidan - the ones with "wings" symbol
Garrison Corps = Chuton Heidan - the ones with "roses" symbol
MIlitary Police = Kempeitai - the ones with the unicorn symbol
And Buntaichou = Section Commander. Hange and Mike tittle
Actually, your first translation is wrong, the video translation is right. 「兵長」 ("heichō") used to be an actual rank in the Imperial Japanese Army. The word doesn't have a direct translation in English, but the job done by a 兵長 is one that would normally be given to a Private First Class or a Lance Corporal in most Western armies. It's not anywhere _near_ the equivalent of "Captain", which is an Officer rank (both 兵長 and Lance Corporal are Enlisted ranks).
I'm not used to Lance Corporal Levi. He is well known as Captain Levi.

Nah, Levi is just a germophobe. He's not having Eren do this for some deep reason. He just hates disorder and dirt (regarding the cleaning)

The story is really well set up. This was all written in advance. You can rewatch it and it still makes sense. It's even better imo.
The survey corps isn't automatically elite. They accept any volunteer from boot camp. Most of them die and the *survivors* are really good. Then you have the Levi Squad. Those are top tier. Other captains like Hange and Zacharias (the guy who sniffs) are very very good. Probably better than Levy's squad. Levy, of course, is top dog.
Fun Fact: In this episode, the first opening "Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen" was replaced by the second opening, "Die Flügel der Freiheit." (14)

Remember in the training they said only the Top 10 ranked trainee can get in to the Military Police (the one that guarding the king in the inner wall), so the one who got the most members is Garrison that take care of the walls, and then the rest are the ones who 'ready to die' seeking out for a freedom from living in the walls due to the titans existence, go to outside the walls fighting and do research about titan, are joining Survey Corps. So if you're talking about the whole Survey Corps here, they're not that 'exclusive' 30 people, they have way more than that, but ofcourse not more than Garrison.
If people said they're the best of the best, it's because they're the ones who really go outside the walls once they graduated from the training, while the other who choose the MP or Garrison, no matter how high their rank was during their training, never get to fight a real titan unless there's a sudden invation to the walls like this time or the one that happened 5 years ago, it means that Survey Corps technically get to build their own skill in the field while the others are not

Guys, I think it's better if you guys can reducing the cuts, atleast showing the clips of what you're discussing. For example you suddenly talking about the military brigade want to dispose Eren, but you cuts the scene of them saying it, some other scenes goes like that too, it could be so confusing to watch as a reaction video guys, we don't even get to see which soesific scene belongs to your reaction 😅
Just referring Levi as Captain Levi guys, or just Levi, calling him 'Lance' is confusing 😅
Speaking of Levi, you guys gotta watch the "No Regrets" OVA which goes into Levi's backstory. It is canon BTW, it's pretty much mandatory viewing for everyone who appreciates Levi as a character.
