Doi really outdid himself with Anansi, Sakuya, the Quadistu, and the new Vengeance Nahobino designs. I love how he has grown as an artist.
Here is a description of the subquest:
Anansi wanted to found an African Branch of Bethel,as he believed that Africa had underwent various invasions and exploitation,to the point that the gods of Ashanti/Africa were facing the crisis of being forgotten. He believed that to protect Ashanti/African Pantheon,one needs a powerful leader to guide them and forming alliances with other Bethel branches. If Onyankopon,his father,refuse to let him execute his plan,he would attempt to overcome his dad,by stealing the golden chair/throne that is said to be able to connect the spirits of Ashanti and the gods. He then proceeded to ask Nahobino to kill Onyankopon to stop him from reclaiming the golden chair/throne.
However,after finding Onyankopon,he said that Anansi had been afraid of being forgotten by humans,believing that being forgotten equals death to a deity.Nevertheless,Onyankopon disagreed with Anansi's notion of "Living in the Heart of Men" being the only way of "How a god should be",Onyankopon claimed that even when being forgotten,the gods and spirits would only return to where they are born,and becoming wind,water and other phenomena. Onyankopon thought that Anansi had forgotten the original form of the gods due to the fact that he was too attached to the "Stories". Onyankopon then asked Nahobino to take back the golden chair/throne before it was used by ill-intented individuals.
Looks like they decided to follow Onyankopon's request rather than that of Anansi's.
So they have the “Law/Chaos” quest of this area?

So, Onyankopon is advocating the type of existence Dagda wanted to return to.

Im too excited for this. The visuals and 60fps are night and day from original. Its exactly why i preordered on ps5.
The music goes so hard
Nice little detail is that Orthrus idle animation is now them sitting instead of standing. Curious what other additional details they added.
Never played the original so idk what's new and what's old outside of his form but everything so far looks excellent
So the new antagonists the quadistu is new alongside yokos involvement. The addition of the vengeance story that diverges from the original, Mastema (the angel shown in the trailers is also new to this games story)
Pretty much the game starts and you are given an option if you want to play the original (Canon of Creation) or the new one (Canon of Vengeance). This game brings new gameplay quality of life improvements, new demons, as well as includes the original’s dlc. Canon of Vengeance is designed as “new story route” and will have new endings as well. I hope it helps.

It looks weird for sure but it's cute when you sprint they added a VFX because they probably realised how lifeless it looked in comparison to the old model with all the hair flowing.
This looks amazing, cannot wait for the game to drop!

If you have played the original go Canon of Vengeance first. That’s what I am going to do. I have been replaying the original getting ready for SMTV. If it’s your first time maybe go Canon of Creation. OG SMTV is still really good. Although separate stories, I assume Canon of Creation will give you the basic set up story wise and Vengeance will expand upon it. The new trailer already showed some very promising story beats.
The director suggests going straight into Canon of Vengeance. I have to agree. If nothing else, you'll be on the same page as most people posting about the game.
I'd start with the new story for sure. The old one wasn't fully realized I'd do it as extra content if you feel like it but that's about it.
