Just seen you live in Boston at the house of blues! What an absolute amazing show unforgettable the energy was amazing the vibe it was amazing. Just the whole night was amazing. Funny too. i’m so glad i’m not the only one thinking this is exactly like black john. i’ll bet you this was written with house of gold and bones in mind
@@atticusritchie apparently this was actually written all the way back in 2000, in the same session where Corey wrote Bother. I’m guessing Midnight features the original version of the lyric, and he altered it to use for Black John in 2013. He does that kind of thing a lot, like how The Pessimist in 2010 had that “half-alive and stark, raving, free” line, then Slipknot used that same lyric in Custer in 2014. But then you dig a little deeper and discover Corey actually wrote that lyric for a completely different demo song all the way back in the 90s or whatever, and just reused it twice.

yeah, same. Theres only 2 songs on there I go back and listen to. This album is much better.
The first album I like, maybe a handful of songs I haven’t really listen to it like you said can’t really get into it but this album I listen start to finish and I love all of it
I felt the same way about CMFT. I really enjoyed songs like Everybody Dies On My Birthday, HWY 666 and Culture Head but the rest of the album just didn't really do it for me personally but CMF2 has been right up my alley and I've had a blast with it
