Hansal Mehta is a filmmaker known for his offbeat amazing cinema like Shahid, Omerta, Aligarh and webseries like Scam1992 and Baai from the Modern Love Mumbai. He began his career with a TV show Khana Khazana. His initial films didn't bring him in the spotlight but in 2013, Shahid starring Rajkumar Rao paved a new path for him. The film bagged best film and best actor award at 61st National Film Awards.
Citylights and Omerta starring Rajkumar Rao and Aligarh starring Manoj Bajpayee were some of his finest works.

At 56:50 there is a beautiful frame where just a random guy on his bicycle has got down from his bike and is watching these 2 gentlemen talk. There is something absolutely beautiful about that frame, takes me back down the memory lane when things were simple, we would also randomly leave our work and watch what's going on the road with curiosity.

Can I like this interview multiple times? Story teller and interviewer never crossed each other. He gave ample space to Hansal ji to open up. I really don't know what has really happened in the background. But this is one of the best interview ever listened.
Also story of Hansal ji is nothing but inspiration to everyone. When you were born to do something great, you always meet right people along the way. Your judgement of keeping right people made you famous.

People like hansal Mehta has lived his early life so close to super talented.. Successful legendary people. Just look at the people he mentions in the interview. So much window of opportunities these people have got. His grandfather was a doctor whom dilip Sahab Nargis etc used to visit. Still people deny class advantage, nepotism and even Reservations in govt jobs and college admissions.
One of the best interviews I have seen after Pankaj Tripathi. Mesmerising awesome. Really want to see unedited version of the same.
