The "Nordic look" to the video is because The Poetic Edda is in actuality a compilation of the greatest poems from Norse methology which recalls the war, stiff and creation of the Norse gods and the heros of the time. Supper sick concept and visuals are very stunning.
I always saw the potential in them but once The Divine Stigmata came out I started paying real attention to them. This Synestia EP is a whole other level now.
Prolly my favourite thing about the song is the riffy section at around 1:20 in the song where they have all the guitar panned to the left and the violin panned to the right and having them both mimic one another by playing the same thing sounds so damn sick

Hard disagree, we got, to the grave, suicide silence, ov sulfer, mental cruelty, signs of the swarm, beyond all misery, slaughter to prevail, darko us, whitechapel, enterprise earth, psycho frame, tactosa, 9 dead, immortal disfigurement, worm shepherd, humanity last breath, saltwould, scumfuck, brand of sacrifice, and shadow of intent, this year is better than last year for deathcore, bruh, some of these bands is gonna release an album soon too so😂

I forgot to mention thus spoke Zarathustra as well as being one of the highlights of the year. HLB I haven't loved as much since abyssal. Viscera actually surprised being much better than their first album imo. Darko really isn't for me outside of their first EP. BoS was also mid as hell. SoI dropped a banger I agree. Worm Sheperd was a one and done for me. I hope ID drops a good album this year, cuz the singles have been pretty decent I'll agree again. And saltwounds new EP is average but not as good as the previous two. Mental Cruelty was also just okay imo. The Wandering is another good release. So yeah I would say it's been kinda boring at least for me. Been listening to other genres and older albums more than I usually do.
