This was the very first set I got when I was I kid and seeing each card is just a wave of nostalgia. I love this series and hope you continue it regardless of views, although it should get more attention given how extensive and knowledgeable these videos are.
I've commented on other videos that my friends and I created our own version of 2-v-2 in 2009-10 in which we could use cards from any generation without restriction. This set was one of the 'most recent' sets that we were using at the time, and people who went and bought these packs just destroyed those of us who were using Gen 1 cards in our decks, purely based on HP and the attack strength of the newer cards.
I'm a proud binger of this series of videos! :) Thank you Ptcgradio for the great, informative content! I have a collection of cards from 1998-2017, so these videos have been very helpful understanding each set!
The biggest thing that popped out to me was that [D] Houndoom being weak to [W]. That's so cool! Give us weaknesses like that back that use a weakness of the card's other type. Like a [W] Keldeo weak to [P], or a [R] Volcanion weak to [L], or sth else like that. That would make my day.
This is the set that got me back into pokemon after I quit during delta species. I loved that Darkrai lv x so much. I played it with everything until it rotated
6:55 LOL 😂 I still don’t get why 0 isn’t a number up to 2 though. The way I comprehend it I think that you could pick zero. Is it to make the card a bit less OP or am I just not getting what up to two means? With ball search cards you can choose to not take a Pokémon. Why is this different? Edit: felicity’s drawing says discard up to two and it doesn’t even mention discarding zero so at least Pokémon is consistent with the up to a number ruling
2010 is nationals I took 97th with a garchomp c lvx machamp deck SPECIFICALLY because of claydol uxie and broken time space all cards I wish would come back
I've been playing through the Diamond and Pearl sets with some friends and one of them said that Claydol looks kinda mid-tier. Oh how I can't wait to prove them wrong.
Im going to make a darkrai lv X deck right now to screw with my friends playing standard decks. Also premier ball was basically cherish ball of the day.
wait in pokemon up to does not include 0. as a mtg player that sounds just so weird. in mtg up to means 0 up to x and having this clause is a humongous upside because you can always use effects or card that do something up to if you want the other effect but have no target for the first.
Diamond and Pearl era was absolutely nuts. I can't imagine what it would have been like to play. Hardly the same game anymore!

My first set was Steam Siege. It’s the only set I want to complete. I remember all 10 from my first pack. Can’t wait to get to that point
10:27 Machamp "SINGLE-HANDEDLY"
LMAO
I remember getting 2 packs of these for 10$ only 3 years ago. How times have changed
Binge watching this series in 2021 and so thankful you keep doing these even when not a lot of people watch them. thank you
Just wanna boost this video, this is my favorite series of yours and I think the work you're doing with this is COMPLETELY invaluable!

I still have my holo Dialga and Palkia with the set stamps on the card from the McDonalds promotion they did when I was a kid... those were the days
History! Good job Ross.
Imagine having to wait a turn to evolve your stage 2s.

Because zero isn’t a number in Pokémon with ball cards you can fail to find but that doesn’t mean zero.
Ok that makes sense. Thanks
If 0 counts, -59 counts too. Can I get 59 cards out of the discard?
You asked if people are binging these in the future and I just wanna let you know that I am binging this in the future
2010 is nationals I took 97th with a garchomp c lvx machamp deck SPECIFICALLY because of claydol uxie and broken time space all cards I wish would come back
I’m binging these at some point in the future
Claydol, my favourite support Pokemon.
I've been playing through the Diamond and Pearl sets with some friends and one of them said that Claydol looks kinda mid-tier. Oh how I can't wait to prove them wrong.
Flygon/Palkia looks sick. I have that Claydol but never even bothered reading it
Im going to make a darkrai lv X deck right now to screw with my friends playing standard decks. Also premier ball was basically cherish ball of the day.
Wait that Machamp would be amazing today LOL
My first set I ever got :)
Is it just me, or does that Flygon discard the top card of your opponents deck instead of the placing damage counters

Wish they remake these one day
if dp remakes happen it could be a thing
I’ve never clicked so fast
Early again!
