Wow thats very loud!! Jacob way to go. Best no wall single subwoofer around.
Very impressive for one sub, great job.
Thanks reed
Slapping hard, I've seen a single 15 set up hit 157.7, but that was in a burp box 📦 in a civic, impressive man🤙
Thanks! Yea I can’t have a burp box I need some lows and wind lol
@@JacobViral2 💯
Badass 👊
I'm trying to get in the 150db club, so far 149.7 with this slot port I built. Will be putting my aeroport back in this weekend and retesting
Nice aeroport should be a gain
@@JacobViral2 It was, same frequency 36hz I got a 152! 😁
@Chris what size of aero, and what subs, just curious I have had alot of aero set ups🤙
@@holeshotinspectionllc2412 8" aero 12" zv5 hybrids. I hit a 152db
@Chris I had a 10" big ass port, with 3 Crossfire xt3 18's, it was tuned to 28 hrz, car peaked at 44 hrz, but I was doing a 161db, I tried 2, 8" ports and it fell on its face, I would get a 6 in from big ass port's, and test that too, you might be surprised, 40 to 50% port area is all you need with an aeroport there super efficient
FI FTW! That's a great score. I need to make a new box for my Team v2 15. I may try a 6th.
Fi teams are Awesome! Your 15inch team in a 6th, depending on power=rated, start with 3cu.ft. Net for your rear chamber, and 6 to 10 front ported, depending on burp, demo, or music, per 15inch? Music 1 to 1 ratio= 3cu rear(tuned to 30hz), 3cu front(tuned around 60hz), demo=low lows=15hz and up to 50hz, 1 to 2 ratio= 3.5 to 4cu rear(tuned 23 to 25hz), 2x rear for front ch. so 7 to 8cu(tuned around 45 to 50hz), and spl burp box= 1 to 6x ratio= 2 to 3cu. Net rear ch. depending on power, and freq.(tuned to peak @ vehicle res), front 4 to 6x rear ch.cu. ft.(test n tune till max Db is obtained) Hope this helps?
Straight up banging I love it !
I’d put in a collapsible loading wall with 2x4’s or 2x6’s left over from your old build. Put it to the ceiling. You’ve got door mirrors. That rear door is taking a lot of sound away that should be going toward the front.
Thanks Clay for the suggestion, I actually already have multiple layers of wood on my back hatch and still flexes bad lol. Something to improve though for sure.
What’s on the cards for 2024 brother?
I would recommend a loading panel just in front of the rear hatch. Your hatch is the first thing the pressure hits as it comes out the port and its absorbing it costing you dB's. I'd run a stiff panel just in front of the rear hatch. Attach it to the box. This will force the pressure up. I'm not sure how high the panel should be as you want to see out the rear window. Try to make it as high as possible to prevent the rear window from vibrating. Less panel flex should increase dB's.
Good idea thanks man. I actually already have layers of wood in the back hatch and still flexes alot
Nice bro 👌
Thanks man
Awesome score and very cost efficient
Thanks and that was the plan this year 💲
158 db very impressive! Good job!! Ever thought of trying 21 inch subs or bigger? Think of that potential wind machine!!!
Thanks Matt! 21” is not too common but always future aholds maybe
@JacobViral2 Right on, right on. 21inch may be too big of an enclosure to do it properly
@@JacobViral2 Stereo Integrity 24 inch carbon fiber subwoofer in a forward facing no wall, next year maybe, and use these same amps, strapped @ 1 ohm= 1/2 ohm per amp. Port right behind your drivers seat!
You were within spitting distance of 170 db with your old system. I have confidence whatever you decide on it will BOOM! Are we having an earthquake no its just that Jacob guy playing his stereo lol
Why thank you sir!
Yessir 🔊👍
Nice
VERY NICE!
Thanks
Those cresendo mids have been out of stock for almost 2 yrs now
Dang I have had mine for like 5 years now
@@JacobViral2 yea, I’m always on the lookout for them and they’ve yet to come back in stock.
Your car must be really good for spl , I had built a huge box for a single 15 and ran 5000 watts to it and only got a 148 , in a suburban at 46 hz
I’ve spent years of cabin mods and learning to know what works best. It started In the 40db range
The bigger the vehicle the harder it is to get louder. You getting a 148Db, on 1-15inch, with a 5k amp is very good, in that large of a vehicle. Even though jacobs build is very impressive, @ a 157.5db., if he were to put this exact system in your suburban, i could see it losing 3 to 4Db, just from your cabin being so large. I know because i have swapped a whole complete system, from a smaller vehicle=did a 143.7Db with 2-10s in a small prefab ported box, with 1,000 watts, and when drop testing straight into my suburban(had 320 amp alt. so amp was making more power), the same exact complete system lost 4Db= 139.7Db. My point is, dont try to compare what Db, someone else got in there vehicle to validate, or discredit your efforts. I like what jacob is doing here, use his ideas, trials, and errors to help people make gains, by trying 1 thing @ a time to see what works, test, and retest. Anyone can apply these things to there own system/vehicles. Everyone can decide how much time, effort, and $ they are willing to do. Jacob is just showing the blueprint for our knowledge, and entertainment, thank you. As my step-dad taught me Phillipians 4:13 "I can do All things through Crist, which strengthens me" Rip Dad
thats awesome i actually managed to get two 15s on a 500 watt louder in my girls bigger car idk why tho@@evilinside5984
I’m thinking of making the switch from a single sundown audio nsv5 12” to a Fi 4.9 12”. I see you run Fi. What makes you want to run them besides being fully hand made in the USA? How is the reliability and output compared to a sundown nsv5? Their aren’t a whole lot of Fi builds on UA-cam.
I like to run something not as popular and the custom built with great SPL results and music power handling, custom built, usa, ran 5 different Fi system/subs and never issues, and I like the look of the logo/motors. Idk anything about nsv5 to compare sorry.
I liked your video before I watched it.
Thanks Edvin
@@JacobViral2 no problem
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is very impressive for a single sub set up
This would be like a dream set up for me since I’m running a single 15 aswell, I’m currently running an xv3 and I like it but my fi Neo 4.7 has a lot of potential, it’s just my slot port box just isn’t letting it show.
quick question... why no capacitors though? no one in my country uses high output alternators and only recommends caps
100ah lithium bank all I need 👍 capacitors aren’t high battery bank reserve
So do you have any highs or mids in it?
2 6.5” midbass is all, gets the job done for me 👍. I’m all bass lol
Can you send me the specs on how you built your box
Video of me making it all from scrap wood with specs: ua-cam.com/video/jowuVYBE_T8/v-deo.html&t ENJOY!
Have you thought about going with different lithium so you can charge higher and not have to worry about it?
Long as I can hold 13v range I’m happy with it. I would need a new alternator if I changed voltages to, prefer to stay at 14.4 idle
You almost need multiple cars for different setups and for scientific bass experiments lol
I keep my addition to one vehicle lol
What’s the cheapest but not junk spl meter I could buy ?
Probably around $180-200. xplicitaudio.com/product-category/installation/tools/?ref=3229 I use the $350 ssa one
I seen your voltage was in the low 13s. What range do you consider bad voltage,
Long as I don’t see below 12.6v I’m happy. Of course 14v+ is better but that’s when I’m playing casual music not full volume
@@JacobViral2 Thanks for your reply. I try to keep mine above 12.5
Have u move ur box
No it’s anchored down with 50+ screws. I just adjust depth of port wall and back panel to optimalize.
