I am absolutely in love with this series, it's so inspiring and i ALWAYS have it on even if it's as background noise while i do my schoolwork. I'm a Fine Arts student, and this series have truly been not only informational and motivating, but it keeps introducing me to new and exciting artists. One day i would love to be featured here, and i'll keep working hard to make that a reality.:D Thank you for having the Sketchbook Series, always looking forward to your next upload!
suggestion: put the artist information in the video description. Loved the video
portugal!!!!!! is so good to see more portugueses in internacionals series
Sou BR e tô feliz de ver ele aqui kkkk
@@antcoelho De portugal aqui tb mas nem que ele fosse br ia ficar contente tb!
Soon there will be enough sketches of carla we will know her true form.
Just look at the playlist in the channel, you will see the Karla Ortiz episode from some weeks ago.
@@thiagots85 No way! I thought that was another Carla. At the verry least we will have a better understanding of her when she isn't in front of the camera.
Every time i look forward to this series, never have i ever waited for anything like a series on youtube.
Thank you for finally giving focus to the sketch book! More sketch book, fewer cuts to artsy camera angles/depth of field.
This series never fails to cure my art block. Even if only for a little while; I can always find at least a little bit of inspiration in it. Also, Super happy to see a lot more shots of the sketchbook as the videos go on ^^ I appreciate the artistic value of all the shots, but so many face closeups were getting to be a bit much
Seems like a chill guy. I like his artstyle.
Finally somebody I can relate to who also feels that sketchbooks should just be the finished piece
Logan Fancoli you’d be surprised there is actually many artists now that believe this as well I’m one of them!
but where is your free place? places for mistakes and practice
theres a place for both i think. sketchbooks as a collection on a theme or a showcase and as a practice work horse.
I can think about a sketchbook as a finished piece made of unfinished sketches
@@PotterishHead Those mistakes are what make the finished piece
from these interviews i realized that all artists kinda think the same way
would you care to elaborate? I think this particular interview is far more open than quite a few others. One of the interviews was an artist that didn't actually want to show his sketch book ideas at all. So that is very different to what this artist is doing and expressing don't you think?
Nicholas Town maybe he was talking about the relationship and approach to their sketchbooks and also the way they talk about their environment and people they draw about
@@leordonez cool. Yes absolutely. I do believe ,as an artist, there has to be a particular connection with how we look at our environment and cultures etc although you as person really determines how you perceive this and our character traits hugely influence the way we express ourselves and what we draw.
Whatever character traits you have, creating across the board and using sketchbooks really help an artist evolve and create an understanding to themselves and what they want to show or express. 👍🏽🍃🤗✌🏽
I've actually come to the opposite conclusion🤔 They do coincide in some things, but every artist I've seen in this series seem to have a different approach towards their sketchbooks and art in general
@@sarasawyer2816 absolutely Sara.
Another amazing and lovely video. Real content. Please, never stop doing that and sharing with us.
Please never stop this show. It is my favorite series to watch.
Excellent, my friend! Happy to see you here! Lovely sketchbooks and stories! Um grande abraço! 🙂
Those travel drawings are spectacular, especially once painted.
I LOVED this interview! ♥️♥️♥️
In love with the series.Makes me wanna fill my sketchbooks and diversify them as much as possible. Drawing life scenes is out of my comfort zone but it’s so rewarding afterwards 💫 Thanks for the great episodes
He's _really_ good at perspective!
Dude that single sketchbook which has a lot of well known artists' sketches will sell for millions one day. I see you Karla 💸💸💸

What kind of sketchbook is this?
Ada shipping to México pls 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
He is not portuguese, he is brazilian! Loved this video
what are you talking about? he is portuguese.
Bruh. I need a slow tf down again. I went from Mandela’s, to complex cities to forestry, to faces, to forms, to rectangles and now I’m just drawing pages of like random lines in perspective with no freaking purpose cuz windows and bricks scare me for some reason now? It’s like, I just wanted to learn some colour theory and perspective theory and now I’m like starting sketches only to mess one of those things up and, geez. I guess paralysis from analysis. I always gotta do better than last time and I feel guilty if I commit fully to a slightly off piece. I have like an entire procreate library of like 400 30% done works and like 20 sketchbooks filled with concepts that I guess will just feed into the partially finished things. But, naw boi. I gotta just chiiiiil and commit.
I enjoy watching these videos but it gets me down at the same time because I feel like im stuck doing the same shit I'm trying to get back the way. I use to draw alot ,but I lost motivation thanks to this fucked up world we living in, lost all hope n faith after my pops past away still can't accept that he gone.....
Don't know if Life is worth living or a waste of time......
Sorry for the French word im just being myself
Lost Soul.
One step at at time. You may take reroutes, but you're never lost.
I lost both my parents, my children, my marriage, my home. But life, well, life is beautiful and worth living. I have no earthly reason to want to live, but I look at nature, at a bird, at a plant growing, at a sky, watch these art videos, doodle something even though I'm a beginner, and it's a way to escape. I spent June drawing things I used to do with my dad, camping, fishing, jotted down some of his great qualities. Use art to help you heal It's been 5 years for him and 3 years for my mother and I haven't been able to grieve either of them. still in shock, no closure, no one to grieve with. No safe place to completely fall apart like I know that I will.
Just trying to be strong and wondering when I'll get evicted. In march I got a lemon tree and I only got one lemon, the rest fell off and I have no flowers now. I got tomato plant and strawberries. I should have planted more seeds even though I don't have a garden anymore. But it makes me happy to see new life growing.
100 POINTS FOR PICCOLO!
💛💛🦄
please invite Mark zug!!!
Man im hyper critical of myself .
PORTUGAL CRL !!!
What’s so funny why is she giggling so much
I have a confession: i have a serious crash on karla
TIENE SKETCHBOOK Y DIBUJA PEOR QUE YO JAJAJA
Who keeps laughing in the background? They sometimes laugh and unfunny things and it's distracting.
Who is laughing in the background? Please stop 🧘🏾♂️
The way the girl is giggling constantly makes it so obvious that they have slept together.
Lol, they haven't. She is Karla Ortiz
She giggles in every single one of the videos lol
She giggles in every video, that's just how she is
she invites all the people who she slept with to be a part of this... kiddingz...
The substantial battery interstingly strengthen because organization histopathologically recognise qua a daily bone. disgusted, intelligent bay
I got conflicted when he started talking about Israel.
I love his drawing, don't get me wrong, even tho are just a view from a tourist like he said. And it's just that. What he saw its not* always the truth.
?
"I think people are pretty much the same everywhere... most of people wanna, you know, have a job, a home, have a good life, have friends, hang out, have kids, be happy..."
@darkness101011 cry more, get political in a art video, good on you.
@darkness101011 i see its hard for you to see someone say good things about israel get used to it life is not about your feelings
@darkness101011 its about the facts
