UA-cam is a tough one. I’ve been going for about 7 months and am only about 65% of the way to monetisation. Especially as someone who had no experience with editing or cameras its a very steep learning curve. But I feel like I’m just starting to get the hang of it. UA-cam is definitely the one with the most potential but I think a lot of people think its easy which it definitely isn’t

Yeah also people assume that once you have an audience you can keep it. I've been doing youtube for years and started building a nice audience, getting some sponsorships, but then my views started dropping off, and years later the effort vs reward is not worth it for my channel anymore. Def not easy... but def lots of potential...

    • @LucasJ-YT
      @LucasJ-YT 3 роки тому +1

@@lilmissbeats obviously I’ve not been doing this long enough to experience that but I can see how that could be difficult. I guess people’s interests change over time and creators have to try and move with them. Sounds very difficult though

Thank you for your hard work, Daniel! Your Fiverr video inspired me to start selling there and over the course of 11 months I've made over 100 videos, met a lot of great clients and I'm almost a Top Rated Seller. It completely changed my life honestly. I appreciate you taking the time to explore multiple ways of making money online and showing your results with us. Keep it going!

    • @alanschaaf1630

@@wilfredopk3080 Fiverr does most of the work promoting my gig. After almost a year I also have a lot of clients coming back, so it’s easier to get work once you are a bit more established and people get to know you. I temporarily overcame my anxiety and did Postmates for about 5 months in 2020 (right before Postmates was bought out), and managed to earn an average of $55 per hour, by playing the system (San Bernardino County). Unfortunately, in October, that year, they completely gutted their entire pay system and that potential dropped to maybe $25 per hour, max.

Ohhh dude, last time I watched a video of yours was last year when you we'e talking about Fiverr! Awesome to see you're still making awesome videos.
I loved the concept of this video. Using the trendy tier list format and applying it to stuff you've actually tested. Fun!
I agree with your list and takes. UA-cam is the most satisfying for me, and I'm pretty decent at it (50k+ subs right now). It also helps that I'm a freelance video editor so editing/creativity come natural to me.
Right now I'm trying out daily streaming + a live show every week. It's so fun! But does it pay? Not yet. I hit Twitch affiliate within a week of starting there and so far I've made $10, lol. I'm going to keep at it because it's fun and maybe one day the money will come?

I'm +1.5 years in trading stocks.
Sheeech is still very hawd, tho still kicking to make it possible - hopefully by afta 2 or 3 years+.
Had tha feeling of giving up so many times, tho I choose not to because of the potential I am willing to take.
So far, I have this strats plan working.
The real challenge is practice (can be mentally challenging) AND on the real market (deeply mentally challenging).
I believe I can make that dream a reality, just like those successful trades I ever made.
In general - by keeping building a strong mindset and skillsets in general. UwU
Other than that, I try to do otha things as well.
    Like, Twitch and UA-cam.
Not a lot as I would in trading stocks. Tho, I LOVE the journey of everything I do in general and found nice communities in general! Very sugaii and wholesome I eva found outta my dreams I can imagine! ^ U ^

Cool video in general, but I think the parts about trading are very misleading. There is no strategy that day traders can employ that makes a consistent amount of money each day - and anyone telling you that is lying.

I feel like you're definitely overvaluing UA-cam and Etsy.
UA-cam is really hard and competitive, expect on average 2 years of putting out videos weekly before you get a decent kind of following. In this vid you say 230k channels have over 100k followers but out of 23M UA-cam channels that's only 1% that makes it.
And Etsy can be compared to dropshipping, only you're putting in a lot more effort since you actually have to produce the products you're selling and it's not scalable too the moon, since each product you sell has to be produced. There are some exceptions to this: if you're selling digital items or if you're doing print on demand you only have to design the items and can sell them a lot of times without much extra effort but these are some very competitive niches (and Etsy in general is already competitive).
I've an Etsy shop with 50 sales in 8 months (so this is a bit of bonus income but far from enough to substitute even a part time income) and according to Erank I've sold more items then 70% of Etsy shops. This means only very few Etsy shops are successful. I've 3 other Etsy shops because I wanted to replicate my Etsy shop with 50 sales, and none of these 3 are even profitable.

well, think of all of the youtube channels created just from viewers - not creators. then think of all of the channels that are low effort / low video count / generally poor quality. so i care less about the 1% of that number because out of people that really try, it’d be a bit higher. and since yt is a massive search engine, organic growth here is more attainable.
re: etsy, yes i could be wrong here since i have very little experience, but i’m thinking low startup cost + ability to make a couple hundred bucks a month makes a good side hustle. etsy could be too competitive for that, idk.

@@DanielInskeep Ok. The number I used for the amount of UA-cam channels are channels that have 100+ subscribers, that way I don't take into account low effort UA-cam channels.
