It is the second time I get a printhead error. First time it was replaced by HP warranty, got the warranty extension because of that. Now HP tells me that warranty extension doesn't cover printhead errors! Buying from HP is a waste of money. Never buying any HP product anymore!

When any color from the cartridge disappears and it is not because it has dried or clogged but it is because the level of ink in the tank is very low and the cartridge does not fill its content, it should be treated as a conventional HP cartridge that is going to be refilled. If it is something dry, it is placed in the ultrasound pan until the obstruction is removed, then it is filled - consulting technique for filling - and it is placed again. never throw away a cartridge without first trying to recover it. I'm using HP Ink Tank 315. M0H50A Color cartridge used and the printer indicate error for the color cartridge. Followed all these steps, unfortunately error continues.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer. (4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. (5) Wait at least 60 seconds. (6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet. (7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer. (8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on. The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move. Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

It would be best to just leave it alone. If you must clean it I would suggest you open the lid and wait for the cartridges to release. Next unplug the printer and gently move the carriage to the left out of the way. You will now have access to the spittoon area which you could clean out with a plastic spoon or paper towel. Be very careful not to drop the ink laden cleaning tools on your desk or carpet. Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer. Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds. The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON. Check the cartridge door for obstructions: Inspect the door and the area around it to make sure that no obstructions prevent the door from closing completely. NOTE: Bits of paper, packing materials, and tape might prevent the door from closing completely. Remove any obstructions. Check the product control panel to see if the error message still displays.

It's a big waste of money and time. don't purchase any HP product. Most of the time it will, start getting many error the very next day your warranty expires. As if it is programmed to do that. My printhead is not recognised by my printer even though it is the same one I got with my printer originally. It suddenly started saying one day that "Not Intended for Use in Current Device" as if I am using stolen inkhead. Even service centre are not supportive. The are a scammer, nothing else.

Follow these steps to fix a cartridge missing error on the HP Ink Tank 110 printer series:
- Remove and reinstall the cartridge with the blinking Printhead light.
- Close the output tray extender and tray.
- Open the access doors.
- On the printer control panel, press the Resume button for three seconds to move the carriage to the access area.
- With the carriage in the middle, push down the blue latch to release it.
- As indicated by the blinking light on the control panel, push down the corresponding cartridge to release it.
- Hold the cartridge by its sides and remove it from the printer.
- Remove any plastic tape or orange plugs on the cartridge.
- Avoid touching the contacts and ink nozzles.
- Hold the cartridge by its sides and slide it back into its slot until it snaps into place.
- If indicated on the printer control panel, repeat this process for the other cartridge.
- Push the blue latch down firmly to close it, and then close the access doors.
- Open the access doors.
- Press the Power and Resume buttons for three seconds, and then close the access doors to begin the priming process.
- If the error persists and the printer does not prime, continue to the next step.

- With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the printer and outlet.
- Wait 60 seconds.

It is the second time I get a printhead error. First time it was replaced by HP warranty, got the warranty extension because of that. Now HP tells me that warranty extension doesn't cover printhead errors! Buying from HP is a waste of money. Never buying any HP product anymore!

When any color from the cartridge disappears and it is not because it has dried or clogged but it is because the level of ink in the tank is very low and the cartridge does not fill its content, it should be treated as a conventional HP cartridge that is going to be refilled. If it is something dry, it is placed in the ultrasound pan until the obstruction is removed, then it is filled - consulting technique for filling - and it is placed again. never throw away a cartridge without first trying to recover it. (1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

It would be best to just leave it alone. If you must clean it I would suggest you open the lid and wait for the cartridges to release. Next unplug the printer and gently move the carriage to the left out of the way. You will now have access to the spittoon area which you could clean out with a plastic spoon or paper towel. Be very careful not to drop the ink laden cleaning tools on your desk or carpet. Also be careful to not get ink on the encoder strip, the clear plastic strip that runs the width of the printer just behind the carriage.

+Sing Jijar. I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
Check the cartridge door for obstructions:
Inspect the door and the area around it to make sure that no obstructions prevent the door from closing completely.
NOTE: Bits of paper, packing materials, and tape might prevent the door from closing completely.
Remove any obstructions.
Check the product control panel to see if the error message still displays.

It is the second time I get a printhead error. First time it was replaced by HP warranty, got the warranty extension because of that. Now HP tells me that warranty extension doesn't cover printhead errors! Buying from HP is a waste of money. Never buying any HP product anymore!

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with ink cartridges on your printer.
I'll do my best to assist you.
Follow these steps to fix a cartridge missing error on the HP Ink Tank 110 printer series:
- Remove and reinstall the cartridge with the blinking Printhead light.
- Close the output tray extender and tray.
- Open the access doors.
- On the printer control panel, press the Resume button for three seconds to move the carriage to the access area.
- With the carriage in the middle, push down the blue latch to release it.
- As indicated by the blinking light on the control panel, push down the corresponding cartridge to release it.
- Hold the cartridge by its sides and remove it from the printer.
- Remove any plastic tape or orange plugs on the cartridge.
- Avoid touching the contacts and ink nozzles.
- Hold the cartridge by its sides and slide it back into its slot until it snaps into place.
- If indicated on the printer control panel, repeat this process for the other cartridge.
- Push the blue latch down firmly to close it, and then close the access doors.
- Open the access doors.
- Press the Power and Resume buttons for three seconds, and then close the access doors to begin the priming process.
- If the error persists and the printer does not prime, continue to the next step.
- Resetting the printer can help resolve cartridge missing errors.
- With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the printer and outlet.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and directly into a wall outlet, and the printer turns on automatically.
- Open the access doors.
- Press the Power and Resume buttons for three seconds, and then close the access doors to begin the priming process.
- If the issue continues, service the printer.
- Contact HP for service and warranty options.

It's a big waste of money and time. don't purchase any HP product. Most of the time it will, start getting many error the very next day your warranty expires. As if it is programmed to do that. My printhead is not recognised by my printer even though it is the same one I got with my printer originally. It suddenly started saying one day that "Not Intended for Use in Current Device" as if I am using stolen inkhead. Even service centre are not supportive. The are a scammer, nothing else.
