The summation at the end was wrong. One can own a car and not have a title for it. One can sell a car they own [gave something of value for it, like money, and took possession of it. -that's the requirement for "ownership" to have taken place] so his saying "title proves ownership" is simply flat out not a certain fact. [it's an implication of ownership but not for sure a necessary thing] [it's actually really only a document the state requires for the owner to operate it on state owned roads] The thing that is wrong about selling a car without title that can let one back out of a deal is simply that the car cannot be used for the purpose it was intended [and expected to be] used for. It borders on fraud. If it was disclaimed to be without title from the start [like being sold for parts, or farm use or whatever] then it's a simple as is sale and cannot be undone simply for not having a title [which is NOT sole proof of ownership] but if the seller fails to disclose it is being sold without a title, then the car is not able to be used as it was intended to be and then the sale is not valid. [I just mention this because the guy at the end says with such assuredness that the car could not be sold without title in hand by those two because it means they didn't own it. He's flat out wrong about that] [they certainly DID own the car. They had every right to sell it. The fact they didn't have title in hand meant it could not be transferred over to meet state requirements and since it was sold as being road legal {misrepresented} for that reason AND ONLY That reason the sale could be un-done]

There is no reason...absolutely NO REASON why you should ever buy a car from a private seller without getting the title instantly. As you are handing the cash you should be handed a title at the same time or dont buy it no matter how cheap

They didn’t bring the title because their names are not on it! Period! These people scammed this young man out of his money and lied repeatedly to him. He was pretty clever putting the car in the driveway and I don’t blame him. He was way more patient than most people. Then, not only does his crappy dad not help him get his money back, he sends this guy a joke on messenger? Wow! No wonder the kid won’t talk with him! Nice job dad! Glad he got his money back with interest!!

The defendants lied and lied, they never got the title in their name, otherwise they would have brought that to court, and they wouldn't have junked a working car, and they couldn't have junked it any way because you need the title to junk a car...
