Many are hating on the ending of "perfect pairs"
but know that there are always 2 sides on a single coin
One side says that:
He loves the first girl,so the second girl was the second choice.
He really didn't love the second girl. She was just an option.
He really wanted the first girl. Not the second
The other side, and in reality, it says that:
You DON'T get the right girl/guy the first time. NOT ALL OF US HAVE THAT LUCK.
Sometimes we are looking but we aren't seeing what is already in front of us.
Even if we get into a relationship with a significant other, it doesn't always mean that it is already a happily ever after.
And sometimes, it may not be our time to be with the person that we want/the person we never thought that we would want, but everything happens for a reason.
It ain't all sunshines and rainbows.
That's the beauty of love, isn't it?

and yes, I can relate because I did fell in love with my 2 previous best friends, one who is married and other one who probably is about to, and am in love with my closest friend, even though I know for a fact that the guy she's with is a bastard, just like her previous one. Sadly, already am a nobody to them. but I gotta deal with it. But even if I am nothing to this girl anymore, I still wish her the best, and I hope she would call out my name if ever she needs me, because I WILL BE THERE FOR HER.

on Perfect Pair... plot of the story is: the man was never the woman-in-wedding-gown's boyfriend (see subtitle when he uttered, "i will always be your BEST FRIEND FOREVER..."); as for the first woman... there was never a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship between them. In the Philippines, a man and a woman can be close friends without any emotional/physical connection - being "Best Friends" mean the relationship is strong like the bond of siblings (brother-sister). The other person may have a secret affection for the friend, i.e., man-to-weddinggirl [1stgirl-to-man] - normally not expressed openly like how it is done here in the United States.
With that said - the 1st Girl is not "cheap" or how it is assumed she's quickly accepting the man who was rejected by the woman in wedding gown. 1st Girl was the man's close friend (perhaps even BFFs) who supported the man in everything he wanted to pursue, including the woman in the wedding gown, albeit quietly in pain/suppressing her own affection for the man. The dynamics between the man and the woman-in-wedding gown as clearly expressed in the church scene --- was that of close friends level as well. The man may not have expressed his feelings for the woman, assuming he managed to get close but not tell her what he feels for her.

Hey, Bubs and Doe! I can't believe I never saw this video. Haha! Anyway, in "Date", the dad was already dead before Valentine's Day. That was a video he had recorded so he could still greet his wife on Valentine's Day when he figured he would already have passed on.. :(
This sequel hit me just as hard as the first one did. I swear, when he knelt down and gave her his edals, my eyes felt like a thousand needles were shot into them! Waaaah!!!

I thought you understood that Date was about her husband telling her he asked their son to take care of her & be her Valentine because he wasn't going to make it. It does make it difficult when Jollibee doesn't mark their commercials part 1 & part 2 or just do both parts as 1 video.

I remember these commercials 😂 lucky that I get to have the chance to watch them without knowing first that it's a sequel, it adds to the "nice" factor that you'll just realize that it's the continuation while watching it the first time. I kind of think that months or years have passed since the "wedding day" and so giving us the vibe that he too waited for the right time for her, and that she's not just a rebound i guess. I love the casting for the second video, they really look like them, at least for me 😂. The last one really got me emotional. But like what everyone is saying, the dad already died way before the date scene, that's just a recording that the boy is keeping for that special moment. It's like the dad already anticipated that he won't make it 'til valentines day to date his wife, so he made a video message in advance for his family and gave it to his son to keep up until the right time. As usual, i love the reaction ❤ I'm looking forward for more vlogs too

There is a song in Filipino that says, "Mahal Kita, Mahal Mo Siya, Mahal Niya ay Iba". In English "I loved you, You loved her, but She loves somebody else".. and then, " You are luckier, because I loved you".
Jollibee is simply trying to say that in any kind of relationship, occasion, or celebration Jollibee has been always a part of it. Jollibee is basically a part of every Filipino childhood and through these commercials, it will continue to be so in all the generations to come.
I'm happy that there is still a surprise factor in "PARANGAL" but a helpfull fact here is that in the 1st one "date" the dad died already and it's just a recording message to his wife in other words he prepared everything in case he can't make it in Valentine's Day.
In the second one parangal... The video just got dropped on mothers day and without knowing what the contents are... or rather without knowing that it's a continuation of date we watch it expecting it's a different story only to be revealed near the middle that it's the "mom" from date! Which is a complicated and a well deserved moment not to be spoiled by others! Notice how in parangal the mom's face wasn't seen until 75% of the commercial and how it was done in purpose by the director to get full impact on the peoples reaction!

Ok Bubs & Doe, traditionally it’s usually the groom’s best man is his best friend. So, the “best man” happens to be by the groom’s side - which is him. I hope you both got that. Now, this guy happens to be mesmerized by her beauty the whole entire scene, but somewhere along the way he happens to have introduce her to his best friend and they seem to have fallen in love. It’s obvious a love relationship can take time to blossom before it can end up in the isle, and along those times and years this man was able to love all three people all at the same time and kept the friendship between the four of them pure. At the end - the reason you’d marry someone is not because of their beauty (thus the saying love at first sight is stupid), but it’s because of a deeper love. Wisdom needs to be in the presence at all time - all the way through. What a very beautiful friendship between the four. Imagine ten years later how they’d all get together with their children and families and spend great times together. Love you guys!
