An interesting vlog Kevin which I really enjoyed. Having been to both, can comment as follows: Split: public buses are available from the airport to Trogir. Go out of arrivals and wait for a bus, which should take 10-15 minutes all going well. Very reasonable prices. Good b and b’s in Trogir, a mini Dubrovnik! It is easy to get to and from Split on the regular buses. Dubrovnik: have always stayed in Cavtat, a pleasant town near the airport and near to Dubrovnik . I have walked (with great care!) to the airport. Restaurants vary from top notch to basic good food. Konzum is where you buy your take away drinks! Both are in my view, lovely places to stay.
We have visited bother in Croatia back in our cruising days & think both are fabulous but could never afford a holiday there as seems so expensive there x👍👍
We went in to Dubrovnik the Summer and stayed in Lapad. Great place with a strip with beaches bars/restaurants. About 10 minutes away from the old town on the bus. Much cheaper than the old town.
Hi Kevin, went to Croatia on a cruise a couple of years ago and we sailed from Dubrovnik however we didn’t see much of it. We stopped off at Hvar which is a small island and was absolutely stunning then onto Split which in my opinion was the highlight of our cruise. Amazing city. Again we didn’t see a great deal of it but it is definitely somewhere we would return to. We absolutely loved it. Cheers for the brilliant videos and take care my friend. Ian from Glasgow👍
Split has the Roman ruins of Diocletian's palace and some day tours to Hvar and other islands. Dubrovnik is smaller than Split and has day tours to nearby Lokrum island and also to the Elaphiti Islands.
Hi kevin I have to say that both cities are lovely but I am not a history buff or sightseeing stuff so maybe I am more of a typical holiday with bars ,cheap and cheerful but thanks for showing us 👍👍👍
Remember the days of the 100 pesetas beers they were fun I first went abroad in the mid nineties everything was cheap never mind I suppose it has to move on haha🏴👍
Looks like you need a small fortune in your back pocket kev to enjoy a holiday there, not for me lad i will stick to Spain all day long but each to their own but still a beautiful place so enjoy and stay safe 🤡☘☘☘

Which was the steepest Kev. Your hotel there or Laguna park 2?
Did you get the cable car in the end ?
No
