In this video I go over a couple ideas of utilizing brushes and shakers with a cajon. There is perhaps an infinite way of using brushes, shakers, etc. with a cajon. The ideas in this video are just to start the conversation and give a couple practical ways of utilizing these instruments in a contemporary rock/pop/worship setting.

Yes Vic Firth Jazz with heavy wire gauge. White handle. Currently I am using the more flexible model with the black handle. I find the a softer more flexible wire offers me more versatility. Thanks for watching!
I would think it was most natural to play the ostinato with my right hand, as I normally do on my drum kit? Great video BTW!
Absolutely! I am a little different however as I am left handed with many right hand tendencies.
