I like your transparency and your advice, it feels very genuine. The way you didn't just promote your own courses and books, but gave people multiple options and let them choose what suits them, you have my respect, sir.
Thank you for your advice on ways to access AutoCAD in a free/cheaper way. Im no longer a student unfortunately, but those resources are much preferred to potential malware. I recently got offered a position at my work as an AutoCAD drafter. The current guy gave his two weeks. I previously played around with AutoCAD and sketchup briefly/infrequently, but I know my way around software and design. Unfortunately I just wasn’t proficient enough. Largely due to not fully knowing my way around AutoCAD and speed. If I had a month to learn from the original drafter I’m sure I’d get the position, but at this point he’s leaving in a week. Im motivated to learn it fully. If I can’t get this position sometime in the future, then I will at least have the skills and experience to apply elsewhere. Again thanks!
I've been using AutoCad since 1990. I began writing lisp files to build mobile homes and modular homes complete with DCL files to accompany such. It's now been tweaked for commercial and residential building design. Also, a number of SLD files rolled into plumbing and water supply blocks and some exterior stone hatches. In addition, using DCL and lisp, created a closet design program with cut lists and material counts. All that being said, I still couldn't pass a certified professional exam because I would have to begin by reprogramming the out of box experience to match what I do. Tried it once at Autodesk University - I failed miserably. So, anyway, just to pass a certified exam doesn't necessarily mean one really knows how to use AutoCad. Even so, love the vids!
Agreed Mike, but usually it's an industry standard and it is great if you are a job seeker as it gives you a competitive edge over non-certified professionals.
Hello, and good day, Sir! I am a 4rth year BSIT college student, and just finished my intership. I had an AutoCAD Subject in my previous semester, and all I can say is that, I love AutoCAD and its different features, Sir. I really found it vey interesting, Sir. And thanks to your lessons here, for me, it is very fantastic, Sir. A big thank you very much for sharing all your knowledge to the user population, Sir. Thank you, and God bless, Sir.
Much easier to start from scratch, thank you sir. You are giving the chance to us that you have not got, so very thank you for supporting me for starting my Carrer as a Mechanical Engineer
Load CAD. Disable all right click menus and change it to repeat last command. Setup keyboard shortcuts. And then complete drawings twice as fast as anybody else and go ask for a fat raise.
Thank you sir, I really don't like free things but from your explanation and my experience gained in few weeks of reading your books it's better for one to attain atleast 40% practice before he enrolls for payable packages . I do however have one request, let the IT guy help us make the videos accompanying free books compatible with our phones .some of us watch on phone as we design with laptops. I love auto cad not even for purposes of getting jobs though am an Engineer myself but those old Engineers who studied minus computers .Even if you tell me to come to India where you are I will.thats how much I love it.
Thank you so much for compiling all of this helpful information as well as your experiences learning AutoCAD and for sharing it with other people! Your video was very informative, and it gave me an idea about where to start and how to go about the process of learning AutoCAD. God bless you!

At 69yrs old and retired I do occational Building drawings with CAD 18 but need to be better, Problems LAYERS , proper scale and fonts gives me concern. Yet to learn 3D DRAWINGS.
I got an autoCAD certification I 4 years ago and never used it. I was working as a land surveyor and wanted to get into the office, but some stuff happened and the company got bought out. Then I quit. I wish I would’ve continued trying to get into it.
Sir thank you for your lecture but l have a question to ask you What's things make a annotative objects and other drawing object to look smaller in model space beside have all required units and scale particularly text and dimensions
You are really genuine. Now the only concern is that can a person like me, who don't have any engineering background learn AutoCAD? Sir please reply me. I am really interested. Lots of love
