@uberaudioexperience Oh, so Europe got all of our snow, Lucky. Hopefully the weather pattern changes soon so we can get out there for a few good long rides this season. I think if we get a good snow we'll have to really take advantage of it while it lasts. Thanks for watching.
I enjoyed watching these videos. I have a 2004 MXZ 800 so it gives me some tips on how to take care of my machine. A little tip for you, when you're doing any type of air pressure tests you can use soapy water to help pin point the leak. It's a lot easier to see the a bubble than it is to listen for the leak. Up here in Canada we are going through a snowless winter too. Thanks for the video.
Cool video. You guys did a good job on it. Hope you get some snow , sometime this winter. I heard Europe is having an extreme winter. I guess that is where all the snow is.
you also got to remember it will leak out the rave valves there no seals in there's to hold the air in! you would need to cap those off to! like the videos keep them up!
I am not an expert on this subject but I don't think you need to test each cylinder separately. Just find the leak if there is one and then fix it. That's what we've done in the past. We did a leak down test last year on my brother's Blair Morgan. There is a small series of that and it's in one of them.
watch out welding in the crotch of that Y pipe... it will deform from the weld cooling down and won't bolt up to the cylinders... the holes won't line up. I know this from experience.
lol. That was a clip from one of my older videos. I was showing where I hit a tree head on after getting bucked off my sled. Ski-doo is number one is market share and innovation!

@groutaone
Thanks buddy.
Thanks for watching.
The teflon tape comments are tricky. Clockwise if you have the piece facing you, but opposite to the way its screwed in.
Right. I use it so seldomly that I have to think about every time.
Real nice video, well done
nice vid paisteboy ,im going to try that out right away
A good way of telling where ur leaks are is spaying a lil soap and water mix on all seal and exhaust ext. but cool vid
i had this same problem on my 01 800
so, i thought there was a mid crank seal, is it important to test the cylinders individually?

Thank you! I am working on a 800 triple right now that the cylinders will leak to the one next to it? Its lean as hell and everything else checks out?
@@brandongraham2122 You're welcome. Good luck with your 80 triple.
What size are the plugs on the carb side?
To be honest I have know Idea. I made this video so many years ago and don't even remember what engine it was. Thanks for watching.
how did you clean your tunnel???
Good home built system. A bit raggedy, but if a $70 pro set isn't available, this would pass.
Thanks. Where would you buy something like this?
paisteboy Harbor Freight to start. Just g.o.o.g.l.e. "leak down tester" and see what pops up. Good video guys.

Most people don't even know what a leak down test is. Thanks for watching.
