So, the characters become red because there's a rage mode mechanic in this game. As far as I know, it can happen randomly, but when a character is enraged, they do more damage, and one of their special moves becomes enhanced (does more damage, can do more hits, add an extra animation to it, etc.), like Biff's Rapid Punches (he does more punches, and way faster), or Saber's Grenade Punch (the move does more damage and he'll dash much faster before doing the punch)
This game looks even more "designed by the guy that did Fist Of The North Star" than the first! New characters look cool, but I don't like how they made it more of just a fighting game in a wrestling ring.

Those signatures above the names on the vs screen are something. Alexander “The Grater” is somehow the amazing and terrible at the same time.
A bunch of the JP names for the wrestlers are very different from what we got. My all-time favorite being Rasta being dubbed "Missing IQ Gomez."
