@@mappingsworld That is what Sonic CD is. You have to travel in the past to get a good future by destroying the transporter. If not you get the bad future
I love Sonic CD, game of my childhood.. First time I pass this game with good ending, and I still remember it🥲 Also, Metallic Madness Past was my favorite OST from this game😍
Also, i heard a rumor that in the past of Metallic Madness Zone Act 2, it's completely unbeatable due to an oversight where a spring was meant to bounce you to a ledge, but it was placed too low, that you can't reach there, but that was fixed in the Windows 95 port and onwards, including the Sonic Gems Collection and the 2011 Christian Whitehead port.
In my opinion, the past stages are the best, probably because they were made with the intention of having to spend most of your time in them, and exploring them.
I really need a fan game to completely redo the level design of sonic cd. If that were to happen, it would be my favorite out of the sonic classics games. Oh, and also make it so you can only get a time stone through a ring by traveling to the future, so the future has a purpose.
Fun Fact: There is a small part of the Sega CD that creates sounds that are not as good as the other one. Due to this, all of the past themes use the part.
