@@chasingadeline hi I’m from the south side of Chicago and I am wondering what is the easiest way to get New Zealand citizenship it’s such a nice place.
Hey there fell Chicagoan!!! The easiest way would be to marry a New Zealand citizen, move here, and I believe the process is about 5 years of living here from there until you can apply for NZ citizenship. But you might want to research that, as I haven’t really checked into it (I know how to get US Citizenship better as we went through that process). Other ways to come here when the boarders open up would be to prob get a working visa from a company here in NZ and they sponsor you (again, I haven’t gone through that process either though, so you’ll just have to do some research). I keep hearing about all the snow and cold you guys are getting back in Chicago!! 😍😩

Yesssssssss! ♥️ My fave episode so far (except the shopping trip in the Kmart 😆). I love that passage from Romans 8. Here is the Passion Translation: “So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. Welcome my brother and sister in Christ to Aotearoa New Zealand. I'm a kiwi and glad you're on this land. I'm also waiting to go to Guatemala as you are waiting to go to Madagascar. We are blessed to be in this country waiting.
40-50 years ago, I lived on the south side of Chicago. I emigrated to the South Island of NZ in 1992, and am now retired. I don't regret the move, because I concluded some years ago that the USA is coming apart at the seams, and things could get very ugly there. In October of this year, NZ elected a new Parliament. I am completely confident in the voter registration system, and that people voted but once, in a polling place where they had a right to vote. More pointedly, I have no doubts whatsoever that the ballots were honestly counted. Having worked and lived in NZ for nearly 30 years, my spouse and I have arrived at conclusions that differ from yours. My spouse and I file a joint 1040 every year, because we remain US citizen. We also file separate IR3s every year as well. The 1040 concludes that we owe a few hundred dollars at most. The USA may be the friendliest country in the world for investors owning less than, say, US$6M in stocks. Meanwhile, the 2 IR3s we file conclude that we owe tax amounting to almost 40% of our income. The fact that we raised a child in NZ never reduced our taxes in any way. We do not receive the New Zealand equivalent of Social Security, because New Zealand subtracts foreign social security received from any old age pension it pays out. We pay a lot of money for NZ health insurance, because the public system does not pay for most doctor's appointments, and because that system puts many candidates for elective surgery on waiting lists. The Kiwis I've met who are business owners or self-employed, are among the happiest people I've met anywhere. I cannot say the same about Kiwis who are employees. The pay is often not very good (esp. given what urban houses cost), and the arrogant attitudes of bosses leave a good deal to be desired.
High house prices are a grave blemish on New Zealand's economic copy book. A decent house in a safe neighbourhood will set you back NZ$500-600K in Wellington or Christchurch. That same house will cost you a million or more in Auckland. Property taxes and mortgage interest are not deductible. Realised capital gains on houses are not taxed... at least until now.

Glad I found this video :) I live in Brisbane, Australia but have been to Chicago to visit relatives in Aurora a couple of times and am considering a move to Queenstown. We had our honeymoon there in 1990 and would love to get back. I'd love to hear how expensive day to day living is over there.
Aww, we love Aurora, and we lived over in Gold Coast for awhile and absolutely loved it there! You’ll fit right in here :) Living expenses can honestly be as expensive or cheap as you make them. Our rent is $600/week for a 3bed/2bath, but we live in one of the more expensive areas. Other than that, the cost of living seems reasonably similar to everywhere else we’ve lived.
Hello from MIQ in Auckland! My wife and I have made the move from Tennessee last week. I was curious if you had any tips/tricks related to the car buying experience?
Woohoo, so glad there’s more Americans!!! And TN is seriously the best state. So buying a car here is REALLY easy compared to the states. If you’re buying from a dealer, they do all the paperwork (same as the states). But we bought used from a private party. Most kiwis will recommend finding a car on TradeMe, but we had the best luck on fb marketplace. We specifically wanted a Toyota SUV because that’s what we had in the states and wanted something reliable. We ended up checking out 2 cars and brought them both to a mechanic (kiwis always recommend doing a full “AA” check on the car, which is essentially a full report on the car). We personally just called a local mechanic and told him we’re wanting to buy a car and is it ok if we brought a few over for him to check out and let us know what he thinks. It cost something like $80 for them to check both cars. We then picked the one we wanted and we met the seller at a NZ Post office. The Post does the change of ownership and it only costs like $9. You leave the license plates on, and that’s it! Car insurance isn’t mandatory, so you don’t need to prove that in order to buy it and all it’s a really simple process. You can also do the change of ownership online, but we opted to just do it as the Post to make sure it was done right and we could ask them questions. As I’m typing this, I realize it’s so different from the States, so we’ll prob make an in depth video explaining the whole process (and how we transferred money, etc), so we’ll most likely create and post that video early next week! Feel free to comment any follow up questions though 🥰
@@GoandLove you made a lot of great points, but I’d also like to add, if you do buy a used car privately it doesn’t hurt to do a background check to see if there is any debt owing on the car. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! According to 100% of the world’s history scholars, Jesus is 100% real. Appreciate your sun thoughts, but not sure where the Bible teaches that. I will for sure read the Bible again cover to cover and try to find where it teaches that. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
@@GoandLoveRespectfully I don't think you can prove your claim that according to 100% of the world’s history scholars, Jesus is 100% real. Sadly that just isn't true my friend. BTW, I lived in Seattle for 45-years. Retired to New Zealand in 2017. (I am a Kiwi.) I enjoyed your UA-cam post. But I am an atheist. Here's some help in Biblical references relative to this discussion. Take care. christianflatearthministry.org/2015/10/08/the-bible-says-the-sun-moves-and-not-the-earth/
I really appreciate your respect :) But ask literally any scholar (Biblical based or not), and yes - there are 0 doubts that Jesus was in fact real. There are other thoughts that are worthy to debate (such as your sun statement), but Jesus’ reality is not one. I’m honestly not interested in debating though (I don’t think you are either). Seattle is absolutely beautiful!!! We were able to visit Washington just before we moved back to NZ and we’re blown away (especially coming from Chicagoland 😂). You’ve obviously made the right decision on moving here though :) We’re absolutely loving our time here!! My wife and daughter are NZ citizens, and I just feel so blessed to be able to be here in this amazing country with them.
Regarding the sun website, I see where you’re coming from. I personally feel it’s a bit of a stretch to say that the Bible teaches the sun rotates around the earth based on those scriptures, as we literally say daily that the sun raises, lowers, sets, etc (at least, I’ve always heard the phrases “sunrise” and “sunset” and have never heard “earth-rise” and “earth-set” like the website alludes to) don’t again - I’m not too concerned about debating that statement. All the best to you man ;)
@@GoandLove Ok I'll give you that he may have been real. But to further conclude he was the son of a God is not rational. Any way - welcome to New Zealand my friend. We need to be very appreciative that we live here. Take care my man.

God Bless.
Yea, I know we’re not alone on the baby travel stories 😂
And we miss Chipotle!!!!! 😂 and of course, watching football 🏈

Madagascar is a very poor country and I'd guess the COVID is out of control there .. the prison Antanimora is probably the worst on earth .. inhumane conditions .. good luck and stay safe

Jesus and God are make believe fictional characters in a very old book written by authors who thought the sun revolved around the earth.
Take care.

Take care my man.
welcome to all non magaheads enjoy tour new life
