When swimming for resources, gobble a Jaguar potion (if you save up potions like me) it gives unlimited stamina, GREAT for swimming or mining or anything really. Wearing the breather, unlimited stamina (you drown if you ever run out of stamina swimming) and a high swim lvl (30% more speed for lvl 7), you can boggie woogie underwater, with harpoon spear in hand of course, for over 10 min without having to come up for air. I stumbled upon this mechanic yesterday and I was blown away.
I also wanted to point out that you should check for upgrade requirements for boats/base items on the actual item you wish to upgrade. There is a difference in what is required. The upgraded item INCLUDES all the items it took to build the lower tier item, such as the workbench. You will be surprised to find you can actually afford to build more what you want this way.
I get your excitement to play this game, it's awesome!

Your "eeeeeeeeeeee" and your "STOP trying to steal me" were the best parts in this video, and some other epic parts too. Yes, explore more, more and try to find other chronicles and explore your main island still more. And go visit the first island too you went after you went in the other area, where you first stopped but didn´t explore a lot. But yeah, i know i comment again a lot later. I have bing watched your videos every day. Couple of videos to watch more in this series here.
It’s awesome to see so many of your tools get upgraded. If you end up going after the seaweed soon, I hope you can make a copper harpoon for that shark. Lol. Also congratulations on surviving the animal attacks once again. I believe when you first encountered a jaguar you killed it from far away because it got stuck on something, so you didn’t really even get a chance to see it up close. But that’s how you got the jaguar tendons. This fight was way, way more stressful. 😂 Although those lizards are almost as bad.
Also given that you mentioned wanting to make a cart on copper island, that camp you found could be super useful. I really like that it’s there, not just for the story bits (although those are great), but because it means you can skip building the really primitive stuff just to get that cart if you need it to grab the copper. It’s a small detail but kudos to the developers. I really love how much they seem to think of everything for this game.

When a animal is charging you, 40:48 right when it jumps on you press right mouse button,
This way you deflect & trade HP for stamina. As long as you have stamina left & deflect you don't take ANY damage.
This works for almost all animals except: Snakes & Insects (Sharks i haven't tested). Works even if you are unarmed.
Another way is what the game calles a "block hit"( probably cuz they wanted avoiding calling it "Counter Strike")
FULLY charging any meele weapon/ tool & hiting them right befor their attack would connect.
That primitive bed of leaves that you saw on the map next to the interesting site on copper island is actually not up high. It's very deceiving. I spent 3 days trying to find it until i fell into the pit and found that there's actually an underwater cave you can swim through to get to it and there's a copper shovel. And without giving spoilers, the "interesting site" there is truly interesting and is an extra part of the story that is not mandatory to complete but gives much needed insight into what happened.

Need to build a cart on copper island and look at stamina drinks to mine all the copper you need.
The upgraded canoe has a log carrier I believe so you can harvest trees off the islands fyi

Its obsidian
Nitpick, but there's no onyx in the game, it's obsidian. Those are not the same thing or even close. Banded obsidian is still not onyx but it can be informally called onyx… however, the obsidian in the game is not banded either.
Lol ya I dont know why I keep saying onyx I think its cause I've been playing so much hydroneer trying to get onyx gem there lol
