maybe a possible nerf to the gear is making it take up two gear slots instead of one, so also that's an idea to maybe have supercell have stronger gears that take up more slots

@CryingMan it'd be niche probably but hey it's better than it being op. Also allows for some more gears if you make 2 slot gears
I use it on Lou in Solo Showdown, Ice block is such a crucial part to winning a game there. It can literally change the situation against rush-down brawlers or a surprise attack if you have the reaction time for it that is.
I have it on Lou, simply because I like having an extra use of Cryo Syrup
@@luka9967 that's great for an Aggressive take on Solo Showdown. But of course Syrup is the best gear for him on 3v3's. I always run out of it and the first round on Brawl Ball isn't even over yet.
I think whether gadget gear is good depends on specific matchups and if you can get more value from other gears. For example, in knockout a shield gear can help you tank an additional shot from other snipers, and I think the damage gear is always worth having in emergency scenarios. I think in most situations you are better off with 2 non gadget gears because they impact almost every interaction you have in the game, the gadget gear will only impact 1 interaction. Sometimes that wins you games, but I would argue that most of the time having 3 well used gadgets is enough to win a game.
Another possible nerf would to not nerf the gear itself but very slightly nerf the gadget itself when you have the gear equipped. Some brawlers would still really benefit from an extra charge of a slightly needed gear so I think that this would be a good rework of the gead
I think it would be possible to add this gear to increase the cooldown of gadgets by 20-30%

my idea to nerf it is that, to reduce the ability stat somehow, fang slow, squeak slow, fang stun, reduced (to 90% of duration), but it will be SO much work for SC
and some ability don't have any number (such as carl's dash) (they can nerf the range, but it'll make him clunky) so it'll probably stay the same
Dynamike gadget with that gear makes it much more reliable, allowing you a much wider margin for you to miss the attack.

I think one way to balance this gear could be to bring back the old gadget balancing they did by making certain gadgets have one less use, and for the gadget gear to simply return that lost use back up to 3.
It wouldn’t feel very good because I always felt like this balancing was lazy, but it would be one way to at least put a bandaid on the issue.
I think shelly,maisie,gray,tara will be good using this gear too

i think a possible nerf is to make the extra gadget charge only be given after meeting a certain requirement, like getting a certain amount of kills, dealing a certain amount of damage, not dying more than once throughout a match, etc.
ah, like get 3 kills for 1 extra gadget or stay alive for 60 second for 1 extra gadget? yeah thats makes more sense actually especially for duel mode.. :D
Actually I think there is a way they can nerf this gadget
so they can make it that after you've use up 3 times of your gadget , you will have to wait for a certain extra amount of time before the forth time will be available for the brawler or make the forth time only available if you hit enemies a certain amount of times like a super
but yes I do agree that it was almost impossible to balance🤡
for fang attack gear imo actually better than gadget. the reason being is that with attack gear on you can 2 shot surge compared to 3 shotting him.
I also have the gadget gear on Sprout, since having an extra transplant use is insane
The could increase the cooldown time. Maybe allow you to use the first 3 but put a longer cooldown time on the 4th one..

A really weird but funny way to nerf it will be to make every brawler’s gear count 4. Now the gadget gear only increases gear count by 25%
A good nerf could be to increase the rarity or maybe making it so that the 4th gadget can only be activated under a circumstance like "super must be fully charged" or "when under 35% hp"

Honestly i think the only way to nerf this gear is to probably have the last gadget be slightly less effective than the usual gadget for example crow's gadget would slow for 1.5 seconds instead of two, or Carl's range would be needed by one tile when he uses his last gadget, this idea would suck though since the devs would have to go over EVERY SINGLE GADGET.

The only way to nerf it is probably to buff all the other gears. If they become too overpowered then buff stats for brawlers
Well, my idea is that instead of using a normal gadget like now, this one comes nerfed by 50% of everything (there are gadgets that don't even hurt like El el primo) but I would see how to reduce its strength or something like that, there will be other methods
prehaps they could nerf the gear by making it give a significantly longer cooldown on gadget uses
maybe even only one gadget per life, so if you use it you cant again until you die
I guess to nerf it they’d have to pull from other in game mechanics, like +1 gadget, but each time you use a gadget you lose 25%-33% health, but that would affect healing gadgets, that’s just an idea, but probably a better idea would be your 4th gadget would be 25% less affective, or tweak the percentage to be balanced, a gadget that lasts 4 seconds would last, 3, a gadget that pulls enemies 8 tiles would pull 6, a gadget that heals 1000 health would heal 750 health, BUT ONLY ON THE 4TH GADGET.

It is obviously broken but one thing they could do to nerf it is that the fourth time the gadget is less powerful idk it does less damage for tara it spawns 2 instead of 3 etc etc. But that would take time because it also mean for the developpers how to nerf the gadget for the fourth use on every brawler for it to be balanced.

Instead of needing gadget gear I think the scaling should be worked around gadget gear like possibly buffing other gears to make everything viable options

There is definitely a way to nerf this gear. One that came to my mind is that during the 4th gadget usage, any type of ability of the gadget is reduced by 30-50% (Like speed, duration, damage, time limit, etc.) or they could also just increase the cooldown for the 4th gadget to be used. By that I mean how much time it will take to recharge the gadget for the 4th use.

This gear gives you a passive fourth gadget use. The nerf should be a drawback on the gear itself. For example "Gives +1 gadget per game, BUT, you take 3% more damage from all sources, or, you lose 5% reload speed while its equipped. Ofcourse im not a stats man, but there should be some way to add a drawback to really strong gadgets, without making the drawback too ridiculous I hope.
well this gear gave brawlers who rely on gadgets more power like squeaks second gadget Imo they have to reduce some gadgets usage to 2 then add this gear

4:22 it used to be 20 seconds until it got emergency nerfed to 15 secs, then to 10 secs now its 8, it should be like 6 seconds
They could make the gear become: 'you can use both your brawler's starpowers' or 'you can use both your brawler's gadgets, but only two for each of them' but that would be even more broken 😂

That is way too much. Useless in knockout and would be extremely hard to get on brawlers that struggle getting kills like Poco.

I know not many people will like this but i think brawlers are depending on their gadgets too much, in less scenarios even more than on a super. I propose to change gadget use to two per match. that way strong gadgets get less opressive amd bad gadgets wont change cause they bad either way. With gadget gear its still possible to use 3 gadgets

I think the best way to rework this gadget would be: Once you have used all 3 gadgets, to obtain the fourth gadget you have to charge it up by hitting enemies to use it again

I think to nerf it , they just nerf the number of charges of the gadget which will automatically nerf the gear when used with said gadget.

-u can have to possiblility to have 4 (50%) or 3 (50%)
-the fourth gadget will be worse than the other, but supercell has to make 72 gadget worse
I don't really feel like it's not that overpowered. Like he said in the video, the extra gadget isn't always necessary for all brawlers, it's just nice to have.

the perfect way to nerf it would be to only add the 4th gadget after you already used 3, so that if you only use 2 gadgets during the game for example, you would get no value out of it. Even though most people use all their gadgets in a match, i feel like this could balance it a little
