Put a Winget tree plow on it and have all of those trees tipped over in about twenty minutes , ready for the rake tractor to clean up!

Lol why do people always push the debris in towards the direction they are wanting to go? I never understood this. Always back cut a smaller clearing, makes the job easier. I’m not a professional operator by no means, but I rented a D7 to clear my 7 acres. After about an hour of trying to push the debris towards my direction of travel, common sense kicked in and I was like hey stupid...run parallel and get you a clearing behind what your trying to push. Man did that make the job go smoother

How'd ya get them big trees down? Or they still standing? Nice old dozer.no turbo? 4 cylinder?

Worked for a fella for a few summers who said a D7 was too big for the small jobs and too small for the big ones. I sure like the sound of an old seven at work.

The D-339 Cat engine. Same bore and stroke as the D-8s of the time had in an in-line six which was the D-342. I ran them both and remember them well.

There sure are a lot of armchair dozer operators commenting. I wonder how many have actually ran one.

If you would just go trade that wore out tired old dozer in for a new D11, it wouldn't struggle like that old antique machine is and you could get finished with jobs much quicker to allow you to take on even more jobs and make twice the money................

No kidding, like everyone can afford to tear down an 11 , haul it, and reassemble it, for every job 🤔

No offense but those were twigs for a D7E lol .Operator prudent not making that old gal strain whatsoever .Great job ! Shame the trees had to be felled .

Yes, small trees easy. Job ended up almost 3/8 of mile, lots of large trees also. Just couldn't video whole job. Then new waterway built where trees came out.

When I was beginner operator, I loved working the Cat 4 cyl. The D7E was awesome on the right jobs, also the 619 cable scrapers with turbo 4s, total hotrods in the day👍
