That plasma cutter is just amazing. I would go through so much metal material playing with that thing. Great work! Thanks for showing the true setup and frustration level that new things can sometimes bring - before the rewards of putting it to work.
As someone who is learning CNC programing for my musical instrument construction, I am in awe that you two, so called amateur technophobes were able to jump from an image in a library to importing your own artwork and getting it to cut it out. That is a huge leap! That was brilliant You are a genuine inspiration! Thanks Dom. That kind of inspiration matters!
Hi Dom and hello John . Nice piece of kit which could earn you lots of money !!!! But my real reason of saying Hi is CONGRATULATIONS ! on the "Repair Shop " getting a prestige award at the British Academy Television Awards . You must all be well chuffed !!
I've started a whole stand alone business with my Xtreme Plasma Table, best tool in the workshop, Rob at Xtreme is by far the most helpful man i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Props to you for going with the GYS Plasma cutter too..brilliant power source !
That looks like a whole bunch of fun! I’m sure you’ll tidy up the wires now that you broke it in and can imagine you’ll find all kinds of uses for that.
Fantastic effort guys, looks to be a whole lot of fun. I bet you two have already used that single sheet of steel, cutting out all sorts of shapes. Looking forward to some amazing projects in the future using you new awesome toy. Keep up the great work. 😎👍
Another great video with John and your self looks like ranala bottle openers could be a great merch item from the plasma cutter casnt wait to see what parts you create for the porsche keep up the great content✔💯✔👍
Hi guys Let the fun begin! That weather vane. If you cut two sets of slots in the first chicken. Then cut out two half chickens with square pins. You can easily then put together square to weld. Good luck with your new table.
How exciting to see in operation. There is an expression ‘I give you fire’ when a new skill is taught. Well you have got that and more. Looking forward to seeing when you come up with when you cut something and then form it on the Ranalah Cheers
Hey Dom. Welcome to the world of CNC. Having built my own CNC Router, just accept that this is only the start. I am now on version 12 of my old build. The opporunities are endless.
As a young kid did you have the cool toys? or are you making up now? Nice new machine to play around with and maybe make some money with, have a good time and lots of fun.
My my , that was definitely a Laugh Out Loud moment when the Plasm cutter did the VW sign Man that is impressive Next job must be to tidy up all the wires 😂😂😂😂 Nice you boys
For those that wonders, The X-axis is beam on top that the torch holder is moving along, so the right(+X)/left(-X) motion, the Y-axis is along the two rails on the sides, so away from you(+Y)/towards you(-Y), and the Z-axis is Up(-Z)/Down(+Z) This is the common setup on most if not all CNC routers and mills also.
I work with robotics in lab analysers . Motor warnings are usually detected by over current conditions due to obstruction of the axis. I would assume this plasma cutter does the same thing.
Wow that machine is amazing. Have fun. I do a written what I call a idiots guide just so easy to go back too when not used for a few days and it works well.
Late to the party Dom...bought one from the "Middle of Lidl" last summer...for £109!...German engineering at its finest!... admittedly not as good as yours, but I can't imagine how I had survived so long without one in the workshop....
plasma cut greggs sign when ? :D Also the ranalah log, cut out a oval behind it, mount the actual letters on standoff's 4-5mm in front of it and then back light behind the cutout part ?
Okay admit it, how many here besides myself thought that Dom and John were going to hook up the garden hose to the plasma instead of the air?......... Also if you could figure out how to get the water to stay in the tray you could mount the plasma table sideways on the wall to save valuable floor space...........When is the next "Project Zippy" video?
Credit to your camera man he films it brilliantly you can tell he is a professional, great machine well done.
Dan always does such an amazing job! Thank you for noticing
Right now my garage walls would be adorned with VW and Porsche related trinkets and signs if i had one of those 😂👌🏻 superb bit of kit
That plasma cutter is just amazing. I would go through so much metal material playing with that thing. Great work! Thanks for showing the true setup and frustration level that new things can sometimes bring - before the rewards of putting it to work.

Exciting! Lucky man.. Les

Man that looks like an amazing pice of kit, your imagination is the limit as to what you can cut now!!
Most of those key operated e stops can be operated the same as you have done it. Have done it the same way a few times in the past.
Great video Dom . . . what an asset that is to any business.

Well Dom and John, have you thought of altering the Ranalha programme to us the leftover lettering in the plate as a sign as well?
Put Ranalah sign on the cockrell weather vane.will look good.

You can cut auto parts to exact measurement and then shape them on the Ranalah.
Your reading the instructions 😱🤠🤣
I looked at the pictures mostly…

You should cut out the cut out and sell them as arty pieces
Oh Dom! *ONE* sausage roll?! C’mon, should have been a pack of four!
Could have cut one with the plasma cutter…or burned John’s name in it 😅
