i have to say, being able to get neo zeong as a playable is pretty epic, no other srw has ever done that, thats living proof that destiny can be changed in a way or another
I mean makes sense since it is leaning closer that neo zeong is an avatar of Ideon. Theory being at end of U.C someone recreated neo zeong or was able to fully replicate Ideon and the ide. This became an issue with their ideal goal is convert everything into the ide which could lead to end of the universe and humanity being gone. Phenex appears in this era to try to stop it but failed and was destroyed but a contingency was made by Rita to hand knowledge to someone to stop the ide. This lead to creation of turn a Gundam. Turn a goal is fo restart the universe and doubt so made a lot of history and advancements disappear BUT at least humankind will still exist and continue to grow instead of be forever converted into the ide. Fans know that tomino always wanted Ideon fo play a role somehow but it was an insane idea. In 80s there was a manga set after zz when they discovered a ancient robot titled gigantis, but later revealed it was a replica of Ideon pretty much which judau and Minerva had to destroy it. Then of course narrative further that with ppl knew that tomino was sorta an idea advisor with fukui on writing unicorn/narrative story so it made some sense this would happen.
I don't think the official guide is out yet so the absolute requirements are unclear. The Japanese Wikis speculate you need to take Londo Bell after stage 22 and shoot down Yazan with Judau on stage 25, and then later shoot down Jerid with Camille on Stage 36, then have Judau aced by stage 40. Whether there are more flags that have yet to be determined is unknown.
that is a little disheartening. Odysseus Gundam is one of my favorite unit designs (even though ironically I don't care much for the Penelope flight unit) and yet you get it so late in the game. I easily would have been happy if XI and Hathaway had the roles switched considering its Hathaway who is a traitor to the EFSF. thanks for the info though. I'm assuming new game+ you still have to re-unlock the unit again right?

As far as I know in map it doesn't have an option to "purge", so unless you can select it during intermission it's only Neo Zeong I presume.
