    Damn you for teasing me with Metroid Fusion in the thumbnail! I thought I might have somehow lucked out with one of the only 3 GBA games I bought as originals back in the day!

    Moto Racer is still a beast of a game, love that 3d style on the GBA.

    The thumb made me think my Metroid Fusion cib and Castlevania GBA cib trilogy was worth something.

    Funny to see, that almost all games on the list are games that did not sell that well back in the day and their rarity is a part of why they are so expensive. And then there is Pokemon Emerald, 3rd best selling game on the system with millions of copies sold. This shows how incredible of a game Emerald is.

    The classic Pokémon games are very expensive and I see them in retro game store at times and It's crazy. I hope many gamers got it on the Nintendo 3DS store before It shut down because wow those prices. Cool video. ^_^

      Thank you! Yeah I remember constantly seeing silver and gold at toys r us and best buy going for 20-30 bucks back in the day lol

      @@supergameghostBack in the day I remember seeing GameCube and GameBoy games on sale before the Nintendo Wii came out. Now those games are even more expensive than the Nintendo Wii and Wii games. I think Nintendo messed up on the Nintendo Switch by not having the same E Shop as he 3DS which had those classic retro games like Crystal for like $ 20.00. I got Pokémon Crystal before the E Shop shut down and I'm happy that I did. ^_^

      Ninja cop is fun! I wish I had more time to dump into playing Demikids 'cause it seems interesting.

    Can't understand, how economically successful games ( like Pokémon)with huge numbers of copies can be so expensive

    • @supergameghost
      @supergameghost  6 місяців тому +1

      I'm guessing that finding older versions of boxed pokemon games is scarce due to their abundance in popularity. Even with the huge number of copies that were printed back then.

      Most people sold their copies or lost them and there's more repro's out there than legit copies.

    I have Pocky & Rocky with Becky, but it's definitely a loose copy, just like both of my SNES games in the series. I don't think they got better after the first SNES Pocky & Rocky, save for maybe the new Re-Shrined, which is also pretty awesome (and the only one I have CIB). I think I do have the manuals on the SNES games at least, though!

      Cool! Yeah it was kind of hard for me to get into those games, they aren't really up my alley.

      @@supergameghost I like them, but I'm on old man who favors arcade-style design because I'm a freaking fossil. It is pretty wild how the GB and GBA CIB games have blown up. I do understand, because most of us didn't keep cardboard boxes back then, especially for portable games, but it's still nuts just how much value is placed on the cardboard.

    What about Castlevania Aira of Sorrow? What about Summon Night Swordcraft Story 1 and 2? What about Tactics Ogre? Those are more expensive than some of the games you listed.

    • @supergameghost

      Those games are probably more expensive as new sealed copies. But I'm using complete in box (used) prices as the basis for the list. :)
