Did they end up making you sit in a waiting room or something? If you're just kind of in a room and they have a camera in there, it'd be SO easy to find out who you are/who you know by just taking a look online/within the system they absolutely have of all their members in like.. 5-10 minutes max. Then they have all that to find the need/weaknesses (that they think are weaknesses based on their ideology) you have to exploit/play off of. I wonder if they ask about potential new recruits when someone is more integrated into their racket just to have people to keep an eye out for in case they ever walk through the front door or try to make contact. Also, that "highest score" thing absolutely has to be bullshit. They do that to gas you up, making it feel like you're SUCH a good fit that you should get involved ASAP and then they get into all the "negatives" about you that they intend to erase from your personality SO you end up a more productive (as in.. producing cash, not ACTUALLY productive) member.
Just another thought out loud here. One thing I've noticed time and time again is that the worst people in the world are extremely unoriginal. If it seems like someone is using a recruiting tactic on you, they just ARE. Cults are copies of copies of copies. Editing tiny bits of it so they don't get in trouble for plagiarism by their teachers. Shitty people often want to emulate others and usually aren't creative/clever either. Learn a trick that there is out there to manipulate people and you bet these types of people are utilizing them/aware of them. They see success and assume that they can get the same results even though the tactics are old. They know the majority of people are floating through mostly uninformed and ignorant.

Clay walks up to some random person; "excuse me have you got any doritos?" he moots but doesn't wait for an answer -- "it's just that, I'm usually swimming in doritos..." we cut to a preshoot, Clay has a single serving packet of doritos, cool ranch, he opens them and looks inside and then pours them out on the ground, belly flopping on them and going immediately to surfer pose... he is riding the high tide of doritos magic, cowabunga, dudes.

I feel like people misunderstand the concept of what kind of ghosts could maybe possibly exist. These are (or would be, I guess) snapshots of someone's energy/spirit/whatever lingering, not sentient things with goals or intent. That spector walking down the stairs isn't because the stairs are important to them, it's because they've "worn out" the veil in that area because of how often they've probably traversed that area of the house in their lives and also just happened to die in that house. Where you're at the most is where you'd be seen most (given the right circumstances) is my theory. I think the ability/visibility of a spirit (again, all hypothetical) are just as unknown and seemingly random as most of the unexplainable things we encounter in existence as living beings even with established and funded research/technology in our hands.

I think ghost / paranormal experiences are greatly affected by the people that observe the event. I think people's minds are more powerful than we realize and may cause unexplainable things to happen with energy, especially mental / emotional energy. I think a lot of the time it is also the mind playing tricks on people.
