My first was the original Grasshopper with the mechanical speed controller thing. Sold it and got the original RC10 looking back wish I didn’t sell it to buy my first real car. Fast forward I got a used Stampede 2wd a few years ago but charging, bashing, charging, bashing gets old. I started looking at what’s new and trying to decide rtr, kit? It’s all new to me. Anyways stumbled on your channel and it’s the first “amateur” really good quality video with a real “backyard” track with all the stuff in a real track. I want a 4wd brushless that’s for sure but rying to decide between 22x-4, B74.1D, TEN SCTE 3.0, etc or just get a rtr but thanks for the ideas when I do get that $1000 saved up! Make some more videos!
Dang that's a nice track! Glad you are liking the PR. Maybe it was where you were landing but the PR sounded like it was landing softer/smoother. Hoping to get a 1/10 truggy soon!
Track looks RAD, i need one at home again ... How do you like the PR truggy? I want the rear motor 2wd buggy, and we have been looking at some alternatives to the Tekno 4wd buggy and truggy.... We have a Hobao Hyper TT 2.0 coming to try, but recently looking close at a couple PR rigs has me interested in this truck.
Great video!!! What shock and diff fluid weights are you running in the pr racing truggy?? How has it held up durability wise?? I'm torn between the PR and the Tekno. I've owned both brands in the past and like them both. I don't know if the Tekno justifies the extra $200 over the sport version of the or truggy. I'm guessing No not really.
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this comment.... The PR has held up very well I would definitely recommend it, and it's different not everybody has it
I see that you also have the tekno 1/10 truggy how would you compare the two? One of my concerns is the parts support. If you could only get one, which would you get. The pr-racing or the Techno?
to be honest... I haven't driven the tekno yet.....I didn't finish it before winter and also I was having to much fun with the pr.... ill finish in time for spring..... Yes it will most likely be easier to get parts for the tekno...I've had several of their kits and there usually easy to get parts for, but I haven't had any problems getting what I need for the PR either....there are a couple places in the US that usually have everything I need in stock and I can get it in a couple days....yes you will probably be ordering anything you need for the PR but you wont need to much, I upgraded the rear hubs to aluminum and the caster blocks came aluminum with the version I purchased....the kit is pretty durable so far I've only broken a couple things and Im pretty hard on it. , you do get more for the money with the pr...carbon fiber center brace, shock towers front and back, steering linkages, aluminum caster blocks... you'd have to spent another 200 just to bring up the tekno to wear the PR is stock....one advantage the tekno does have is that it has a better pitch on the spur gear and will probably be more durable for bashing or just in general. Either kit you get will be awesome, knowing what I know I'd still buy the PR everytime. hope this helps
Great track. What kit is the PR Racing? Is it the PR SB401R-T (SPORT) 1/10 Electric 4WD Off-Road Stadium Truck / Truggy Product Code: PRR77500406 The sport I believe is the entry level.do you know the difference. or the PR SB401R-T 1/10th Scale 4x4 Truggy/Stadium Truck Product Code: PRR77500346 do you know the difference of the two and which is the one that you have? thinking of get it just not sure which one, thanks.
I have the 77500346....I think all that's different is the 77500346 comes with aluminum caster blocks .....at least it used to but Im not seeing it listed anymore...also the tie rods, rod ends, shock ends are different...not sure if there better. I paid 425 for mine and it had aluminum caster blocks taped to the box....I got it from fierce RC solutions in Illinois. The sport one doesn't look too different if the price is right Id just go for that one and upgrade caster blocks and rear hubs to aluminum later....either way the truck is excellent
