- Colman Domingo is set to play Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, in a biopic about the late king of pop. The Lionsgate film titled 'Michael' is in production and slated for a global release on April 18, 2025. Michael Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson is set to play the pop singer in the film.

Domingo has definitely blew me away with Rustin and was a great addition to Color Purple. Him taking on this character and real life human being sounds like a great follow up.

@@HaileyJackson10 I care about the man and his work and the tragic road to his success. Yes I won't watch it, lived it and was inspired by his greatness as an once in a life time artist. Sparked my life long love for R&B, I don't remember asking for your opinion but you're free to share it, that's what the comment section is for. He's a misunderstood person and I don't trust them to show him in a respectful light. I'll continue to enjoy the gifts he left us. Enjoy the film if you watch it.
