Very well-deserved 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 humble kid too.
He deserves it hopefully he can get also the DPOY award...
I AM SO HAPPY FOR HIM!!! HE DESERVES IT!!!
Victor Wembanyama is a fusion of Goliath and Godzilla congrats to him he is going to be a monster in this leauge, he is going to wreak havoc. The greatest prospect since Lebron James exceeded the hype and we are all witnesses to this.
Wemby had a better rookie year.💯
DPOY is next
Well deserved.
But it is shocking to me that Wilt Chamberlain wasn't a umaminous choice in 59-60. 37.6 points, 27 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. Although not a stat back then, he probably lead the league in blocks. All-Star Game MVP. NBA Season MVP.
Wilt played in a league of 8 teams. No other 7 footers. Per 36 minute statz as a rookie Wilt averaged 29ppg on 45% shooting playing against 6'5 centers 4 feet from the basket.
Wemby(4 years younger than Wilt as a rookie) Wemby averaged 26ppg per 36 minute stats shooting 47% shooting everywhere not just the paint. There are 30 teams now with over 32+ 7 footers in the entire league and hundreds of guards.
In this era teams would of tired Wilt(290 lbs) out on switches covering small guards in drop coverage. But if Wemby played in the 1960's he would of averaged 70ppg. Considering shot 45% from the free throw line and Wemby shoots 80%.💯
You misunderstood my post. Wemby definitely deserved the unaminousl vote. I only said Wilt also deserved unaminous voting. Do you think someome else deserved it? If your logic is correct about Wilt dominatiing only because of his height, then Shawn Bradley and Manute Bol also would have totally dominated.
3 AND HALF BLOCKS!!!
Chet was a rookie in a different season actually.
How about kd
This isn’t breaking news
It's not a shock.
