I'm a bit surprised the bits of stadium (rule 1) don't count as obstructions (rule 4). I would have thought that obstructed in the air was for hitting a bird or something like that, rather than overhanging fixtures around the field.

I agree! I was really surprised!
I think it’s because the base of the structure (ie. The roof) is outside the boundary whereas if it was in the boundary like the tree then it would be a boundary.

They changed the rule specifically for Marvel Stadium this year which is the stadium with the roof. Now if the ball hits either the roof or the structure, the umpire is allowed to decide whether it was going to go for six or not and call accordingly
