Tania Liz I quit on the first day lmaooo. The manager worked me for 6 hours straight without a break. She was like "oh you can only get a 30 minute break after you work 8 hours". I wasn't having it so I quit lol but using the cash register wasn't too bad, with a little practice you'll be fine. The only thing that sucked aside from the unethical work hours was the fact that it was a supermarket and a lot of the fruits and vegetables had codes and u couldn't just swipe them. The manager gave me 5 pages (front and back) of codes to memorize. I was like, nah fam lol so yeah. That was my experience lol

If your going to a register job, you WILL have a trainer for the first few days, so don’t worry about that. If you don’t know how to do something, ask them. Don't worry to try and memorize everything this guy does. Cash registers vary from store to store. It actually is very simple, depending on the customer!!
It won't be long before I am on the floor doing these things too. I've been told the easiest part of being a Cashier is the cash register itself. My manager was glad I had basic computer skills and said I am already overqualified to work the machine (compared to others applying for the job). Now I just have to get my hands on one to get the feel for it and I'll never forget how it works.
This looks easy, after you realize what he is talking about. I am pretty sure that I could handle this, as long as I would be given a sufficient training course or training resources.
