Neither War nor Love are fair. No matter how righteous the reason, fear destroys fairness. It creates chasms too great to cross alone. No matter the reason, War destroys lives and brings the mighty low. Love does the same, it ends the life of a person as they are and can break even the strongest heart. The only thing that Love can do that War doesn’t, is it gives the chance to heal.

There was a boy and a girl. He liked her spunk she liked the warmth of his eyes. He however couldn’t bring his heart to bear, he couldn’t lay it at her feet like she wanted. He was afraid of crushing rejection, he believed it was better to never try then it was to fail at love. She couldn’t stand his presence, he dominated the room. She had been burned once two many by such men, and she couldn’t submit herself to that again.
Who’s to say if they would have found love if they had put down their fears and insecurities. But this isn’t a story of ifs, they never let down their walls, so now (for the moment) they continue to walk alone.
I want a playlist that represents the aftermath of carnage left behind by the Bard from the 2004 Bard's Tale. A man who only cares about coin and cleavage who goes on what could be his tenth quest to rescue a princess only to realize at the end of the of it before the final boss fight that she is in fact a deamon from hell and just walks away leaving both her and the man who has been trying to kill him standing there upset that the Bard wont chose one or the other.
The door swung shut as someone snuck in. Outside, groups of soldiers passed by.
“I didn’t think you’d come.”
“This will be the final time. If the soldiers find me--”
“You’ll be shot or interrogated.”
“I wanted to say goodbye before I left.”
“When this war is over, we’ll be together again. That hope will be the one thing keeping me going.”
“Me too, me too. What if you came with me? We could go somewhere safe.”
“Where is there we can go?”
“I know a guy; he’s willing to take us to Shaiya; it’s part of the Atheridge Territories.”
“What if we’re found on the way?”
“Run. Whatever you do, don’t get caught.”
“When do we leave?”
“Anytime within the next 10 minutes. We have to get down the block; they’ll be a truck there.”
“Well, I guess we better get going.”
They left the building and walked down the street. After getting halfway down the block, they ducked into an alleyway just out of sight of some soldiers. Once the soldiers had passed by, they went continued. They managed to get to the truck without any issues.
The driver had them hide in the back underneath a sheet. There was also some cargo in the truck. After a couple minutes, the truck started moving.
They heard the sounds of the city fade away. At some point, the truck passed over a couple bridges. They lost track of time, of how long they’d been in that truck.
Later the driver said to them, “stay still; we’re about to go through a border crossing.”
The truck made its way up to the gate.
They could hear a voice outside the truck, “Passport, driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance.”
“Here you go, sir.”
“Are you transporting any cargo?”
“Yes.”
“I will need to see your cargo manifest and driving records.”
“All I have is the cargo manifest.”
“Ok, what would you say were your average number of hours driving per day?”
“Around nine hours.”
“Ok. Could you stay there? I’m going to run the information.”
After a couple minutes, they could faintly hear the border officer, “Lane 3 priority transmission. I have a driver here with an open warrant for human trafficking. Code 5 lane 3, code 5.”
A few sets of footsteps approached the truck.
“Driver, roll down the window, then turn off the engine… Open the door; slowly get out of the truck with your hands up. Get down on your knees, and put your hands behind your head… Driver is in custody.”
One of the officers went to the back of the truck and opened it. The sheet was pulled back.
“Medical needed code 3. Two victims, both severely dehydrated. One is unresponsive.”
“Paramedics are en route code 3.”
They had made it out of Etros. Three days in the back of a truck leading to this.
“Ambulance 5B1 transporting two patients to Tasadas military base.”
“10-4. The Rita military has been notified.”
The next day an envelope arrived at the base.

They had been offered refugee status. A bit of light and hope in the darkness of war.

"Help me" she couldn't have been any older than ten. The young girl looked like she was about to passed out under the desert sun. Having a soft spot for children Paul walked over towards her. She back away and repeated "Help me" Paul didn't think to much of it; it was common for local children to be scared of soldiers. "Don't worry kid, I am not going to hurt you" he raised his hands in front of him, "See? I just want to help." Continuing to keep her distance she backed away again but she was swaying "Help me" Slowly he grabbed his canteen and held it out to her "Look, water. Do you need water?" She passed out while stepping back, but she didn't get up. "Kid?" No response. Concerned he quickly ran over to her and applied a cooling pack to her neck, "Bravo to Charlie, Bravo to Charlie, I found a girl in need of medical assistance, I repeat medical assistance. My location is-" before he could tell them where she grabbed his radio and threw it as far as she could. "Hey what the fuck?" she screamed "HELP ME" while kicking him away from her. Grown agitated Paul shouted back "I'm trying! Why don't you let me!" Quickly she scrambled to her fit but she ended up falling again. Managing to catch her his face turned pale when he felt something bulky under her shirt. "Help me" she lifted her shirt revealing an IED duct taped to her stomach. "SHIT" he scrambled to grab the radio and the girl took the opportunity to run from him "Hey stay! I can get someone to help you!... shit...come on dam thing work! Bravo to Charlie. I need EOD now! I repeat EOD!" But it was too late, as he heard a loud beep before the bomb detonate as his face drop.

Fair in Love and War? There is no such thing as that. Say the wrong thing or do something wrong in a love relationship will only make things worse for you. There is always war in love, is there any such thing as a good relationship?

@@ScarlettRose2174 War consumes all it touches. While love can do the same, it can also fix what was previously considered broken. Love could fix this hellscape of a planet, while war will rip it to pieces.

I believe that there is such a thing as a good relationship. However they are not something that you stumble upon, but instead people build over time using trust, communication, and respect. I don't know what makes you think that there is always war in love, but I am sorry. love with war attached, is not love.
