I believe this was case Jackson, he wanted to sing but JYP basically said he voice wasn’t strong enough and he could only allowed to rap.

I understand maybe back than he did not exceed JYP expections, and maybe back than Jackson korean pronunciation was not correct during singing. Or he could not reach the notes. But it does not mean that Jackson sing and be better. PLUS Artist can be better overtime if giving the chance. What he could do is making Jackson more confident and told him what he did wrong to be a better singer and not downgrading that he never can sing. Or maybe sent Jackson to singing lesson or more korean lessons on how to pronounce korean better during singing. If your the CEO of a labelcompany never downgrade your artist. Make them better than they were before.
