My favorite part of your videos is when Casey says “here, try this” to any visitors. 😂 and then the person says “what do you do with it?” And Casey always responds, “chefs love it”. 🤣

The garlic has really taken off!
That banana flower is massive! I'm amazed that the banana tree can survive the winter there.

I agree with you on the" mowing is stupid" part. If food can be grown-then grow food. I was talking with my grandkids about how a single book ,idea or person can change the course of your life. You are a fine example of that truth. PS I have bought to some new books on woodcraft and knots. Blessings from New Orleans.

So happy to hear that my favourites on youtube are friends and talk to eachother. You have a lovely community over there. Love the Hollars, Roades and Art and Bri. All of you brighten my day, give me courage and inspiration. Im kind of jelous right now, because we still have snow on the ground and nights temperatures below zero celsius her in Arvidsjaur, Lapland, Sweden. Im just itching to get started outside! This will spring will be a restart of my market garden after a pause of four years. New location, new aproach. Thank you for inspiring me!

'Stupid stuff' is properly called 'maintenance'. It is vitally important if you do not want to have something break down when you really need it. BTW, I would buy a couple of filters while I am at it to save another trip next year.

Hey Y'all. I did enjoy the video. I just retired to Kentucky. We rented in one city and finally purchased property.....an hour and a half away. We are moving next month. I have had to try to find compost and wood chips there with not much success. When you said you got the leaf mulch referral from your extension agent, I was extremely excited. Never thought of that resource. Thanks man! I always get something useful from your videos. Thanks for sharing.

As you are tarping your front lawn it brings up a question, won't the extra nutrients in the new beds encourage the feeder roots from the trees to encroach into the beds? I am thinking of creating 3 new beds in the front yard but we have 30-year-old willow oaks to the right side. the beds won't be under the dripline of them but I know the pain of my compost bins that became a waste because of all the feeder roots from nearby trees. I don't want to create beautifully fertile beds for tomatoes and peppers only to lose them to tree roots. Thanks, Casey.

I don't know anything about creating such things, but is there any practical way to construct a wind break (or two) for your property to reduce such strong winds from breaking your plants? I know someone who puts up straw bales along their rows when they know particularly bad storms are coming, but they only have a 1/8 acre of garden beds and so that would be a lot of work for the size of your plot.
