EXcellent. How come this still doesn’t support the Vocal Designer expansion ?
This is what the FxXx I'm talking bout right here. Ooooh ye a drum machine and synthesiser in one ladies and Gentlemen. Just what I had in mind recently after watching loads of module synth & drum machine vids😮 Wait could this be the one. Your thinking. A whole new standard has been born❤. Wow I love it 😊
Sounds AWESOME! Makes me think of long missed Ridge Racer staff roll ost music! Gonna have to look this producer up!
Fusion.... Dope 🎹🎹🎹🪘🪘🪘🎵🎵🎵🎵👑💯
Roland Fantom Workstation 2026 will become the goat 🔥🔥🔥
Sounds amazing.... I'm impressed with the quality of the sounds💯
Any upgrade planned with the jupiter x ?
I have this and the Juno X, and together they are as perfect as it gets.♥
2 absolute beauts
My new Fantom EX 6 is scheduled for delivery next week!
Sounds killer. Demo guy is a nice player too!
Missed opportunity to say him 'demo man'
@@lalaj2887 I know Laurence quite well and he’s a lovely chap, and killer musician! He’s the demolition man 🤘
Belle machine hyper complète
Very good.
Love this!!
Is it possible to split the keyboard in 2 and retain the bass in left hand while changing sounds in the right hand, without reprograming each sound?
Oh those summer nights are coming
Did I just press the DEMO button?
Does this have a scale / key mode for a beginner I would really love to get this
wow - that's a performance - sends me back in some good old 4hero times
Lovin mine
Hello friends from Roland! Hello engineers Roland!
What's really missing when saving a scene is saving the tone settings (Cutoff, Resonance, ADSR and all the rest) and effect settings for the tones.
Also missing: routing of microphone inputs with audio output and configuration to separate tracks.
If you do this, you will become the "King of Synthesizers"!
And if there is routing to a separate track of the “SAMPLE section” and conversion of samples, then it will be: “King of Kings”.
Thank you.
I am confused, is this a new synth?? Looks like the release couple years ago.
It's the same, only with updated software. 'EX' stands for 'expanded', I guess.
Hello folks. How can I record my drums sound with the PC? All tutorials I've seen tell me to download a VST program for drumming sounds and kits, but I want to record my original Roland TD-1KV sound, is that possible? Thanks!
I have a Fantom 8. This thing is way over my head. I am self taught player so I am limited. My main instrument is drums. I have had Rolands from the past and I still have my XP 80 but it needs to be repaired. I have also had a couple of Yamahas from the 80s. I don't understand why Roland changed the sequencer and intermediates like myself can't play things in real time from beginning to end of a song on each individual tracks, like the older sequencers used to be. Or am I missing something that I haven't understood yet? None of my songs that I have written has that looping stuff in them, where I would play a portion and loop it for the entire song. I am old school and my songs are written in styles from the 70s and 80s. I really don't understand this keyboard at all. Not to mention there are so many sounds in this thing that it is very overwhelming and so many of the sounds have been tweaked just a little and the programmers barely tweak a sound and call it an entirely new sound. I have watched many of the video tutorials with Ed Diaz, ( great instructor), but unfortunately for people at my level of an intermediate level, or maybe a little above that but certainly not on the pro level, I still don't grasp everything on the videos. My biggest disappointment with this Fantom is the sequencer. I need to be able to record each instrument on a separate track as in the older keyboards and if this will do that, I just can't understand how to do it. I am contemplating on purchasing a multi track recorder like a Tascam. I also just don't fully grasp this scene thing. I'm just not comprehending all of this difference that this keyboard does in comparison to older keyboards. I need help. I need someone that fully understands this entire keyboard and how to operate it and take some instructive lessons from them. I had a Korg Nautilus before I bought this Fantom and I gave that one to my daughter. Even after doing my research and watching as many videos on the Fantom as I could, I am still not as happy with it as I should be. I did consider the new Kurzweil K2700 before I got the Korg Nautilus, but I sorta allowed an older man that plays piano influence me into not considering the Kurzweil K2700. I personally think he was not up on Kurzweil's products of today and maybe he had a bad experience with a Kurzweil in the past. I don't know. I would very much consider selling my Fantom 8 for around $3700. Bottom line: I need someone to help me understand this keyboard better and teach me how to operate it. I can do hit and miss all day and never achieve anything. I know this is long but if anyone out there that knows much more about this keyboard please share some info with me and possibly some sources of how to learn this thing better. Because I am at the point that I want to sell it and start over and do more in depth research about other keyboards that will do what I need a keyboard to do. Thanks for any help and advice. Also if this keyboard is worth keeping and learning and not selling it and getting something else, then please let me know what I can do with it especially the sequencer. I have too many songs waiting to be recorded and I can't afford to go to a studio.
Say that again please. I get you but. It’s a bit. Simplified can u explain more
@@sullycliftona I'll try. Basically I don't understand the sequencer. I don't know if I can play each instrument in real time for the entirety of my songs and then go to another track and record another instrument. Older keyboards had the type of sequencers that allowed you to record each instrument on a track, for instance, the piano on one track for the entire song and then the bass on a separate track and so on. I also don't fully understand the scenes and how to utilize them. That's as best as I can rephrase it.
first i thought i will save money for fantom x6 because i like old school sounds.. but now when i see this i will probably save money for this one because i think this workstation is as good as yamaha motif series synth which i have already.. the only thing i dislike is more keys.. i think 61 is enough!
Kyoto Jazz Massive
Toppp 👏👏 🎹 🔥
Question : If I have the Roland EX upgrade currently, is the only real difference after touch?
There is no diference. The FANTOM-6 website specs says: semi-weighted keyboard and channel aftertouch
Nice PortaSound
Reminds me of mij ex brother in law back in ‘86. He had a c-64, a Steinberg Pro-16 and a Midi-keyboard. In ‘87 switcht to Atari, Qbase and Roland midi soundbanks mounted in a 19” rack. He also got a Dr Rithm and a Roland drum pad. And his mum and dad and litle sister and brother to do the background choir singing in his songs. It really was a funny happy family. Professionally dad was the chairman of the board of directors of the biggest Dutch insurance multinational. In his 20’s he was a sailor at the Royal Dutch Navy Aircraft carrier Karel Doorman.
He played the Clarinet too.
Any instrument needs a human touch to come alive.
If all is in the right constellation, you can make the heavens sing with these Roland keyboard stuff.
Sharp making it do what it do
Wait is this real hardware synth? There's been so much fuzz about software expansion and Cloud so i kinda lost hope to see new hardware synth from Roland
Super!
Where are new instruments in cloud?
The only update I have received recently was Galaxias but new instruments
Is there anything on horizon or should I. Stop my sub now?
How is that possible it sounds new?
I found the previous Fantom aftertouch next to useless. I wonder if this is improved?
EX has the same hardware of Fantom 6/7/8. It's a new "system software & firmware". And yes.... aftertouch isn't as good as should be (Fantom 8EX - PHA50 keybed)....but leaving this aside, this instrument is amazing. Jupiter 8 ACB and vPiano German are really impressive
Think I’ll just stick with my fantom 7 and probably get the ex update cheaper than forking out £4000 for the same keyboard
EX is a paid upgrade for your Fantom
I see the Montage M panic is continuing...
The upgrade is: fantom ex software included paying more, the logo change putting EX after Fantom and costs 20% more.
Is there any upgrade in the keybed?
Hammer action on 88 key model but idk if that's any different then before
👉🏼🎹🎇
Back from the dead?
Meh...I'll wait to see a more in depth review. The 88 key version is priced a bit too high for me ($4,199 USD).
Prices in Europe are insane.... NO NO NO 4199 Euros 4699 euros 4999 euros .... Crazy ! Even M8X is cheaper ..... Insane. Bye bye.....
2000 era workstations are way better. Never giving up my Triton Extreme to pay >$4k for a few plug-ins that Roland has puked DRM all over. The state of the keyboard workstation market is sad.
Would you say the triton is better than kronos?
@@biggrime well, I’ll put it this way. I’ve never been motivated to upgrade and it blows away any plug-in I have put it up against. I am using a MOSS board, though, so might not be a fair comparison. My plan from here is to get a Triton rack for the MOSS board and upgrade to the Nautilus, so not a Kronos hater just a Roland DRM hater lol.
@mjrisinsd6836 I gotcha. If people really be honest with themselves. You learn the great you have. Getting the new board and/or is not as appealing. For most people they feel like getting the will give them some kind of edge. Sometimes that's true but really. The triton for example has been used on so many hits. Even though I love the Kronos. I used to own the m3. I never had a triton. Still want one
YOU THINK THE TRITON IS BETTER THEN THIS?!??😮😮😮😮
It's even worse. Google Roland Cloud problems. Basically they gave you a green banana and they expect it ripes yellow at your home. This pos either crashes or, way more often, just makes your licences go disappear. There is also some stupid sh with certain keyboards that you have to connect them to a computer like once a months to keep the downloaded licences. It's such a crap. And it won't get better, just more GALACTIC features get added. Also it won't go away. As promised in their old claim "we design the future" Rolands Black Rainy Cloud is here to stay for being their main cash cow. It's like waking up from a nightmare with an aaaaaaaaaarg! to a dystopia were once inventive Japanese instrument makers became dwarfs, ruled by this guy from China with a German name.
Should have added a multitrack audio recorder for the singer songwrite. Like the fantom G. Untill a multitrack recorder is added, far as i'm concerned this machine is lacking in creativity and the computition will always be there. With added feature of internal audio recording this machine would be absolutly untouchable.
Update SH-4D
meh
Keyboard such as these are creativity killers. Nothing original comes from them. OK, if your a stage musician in a band...
Nothing really new under the sun...I'll pass
Crappy and cheap finish and flimsy looks. Doesn’t look pro. The Fantom G and X looks very educated, elegant and pricy. Of course, they were real workstations. This crap is a mere synth 😂
Quit hating. If you can’t afford it buy a cheap Casio.
I've both Fantom G8 and new Fantom 8EX. Old FG 8 has some really useful features (ex: RPS, Linear sequence with audio tracks) but.... the new Fantom is an absolute beast.... starting with the sound quality...
Cheap finish?? did you play one ? No way.
