End of Construction Waste? Will the New Law Save Our Money?

The Ukrainian Parliament has passed a law that requires contractors to publish their construction estimates. Before this, 80% of them concealed the actual costs of building materials, forcing activists and journalists to engage in a lengthy struggle with government agencies just to access these estimates and uncover any inflated prices.
This new law aims to improve transparency, but there’s a significant chance that some government bodies will simply ignore it and continue not to publish estimates, just like before - especially those that might be inflating prices by 2x or more.
