Just returned to UK having been to Taormina Sicily. Sitting in Michael’s seat in Bar Vitelli was on my bucket list. Whole experience was surreal. Wonderful moment. Even played my own Godfather music. Sicily is a fabulous place. Full of history and beauty. Food is to die for. People are lovely.

If i was the owner of the bar i would have purchased the actual Lumparas (sawed off shotguns) they had in the film!!!! But yeah having Tamassinos villa used in all three films especially during some of the most legendary scenes in each film...i get why its closed off!!!! Nobody has filmed a movie in a single set for all three films of a franchise especially scenes that legendary ❤
Ada Sicily is a fabulous place to visit. Full of Ancient Greek and Roman history. Best time to go there is in the fall. You will certainly enjoy the vacation. Thank you for watching, Caterina
Just now I was talking with my wife. We’re planning to visit Sicily this year hopefully. We want to spend summer vacation there and definitely will visit this place. My eyes are already in tears. I can’t wait to visit this place where Michael arranged his marriage, also the place where Don Vito hid from Don Ciccio. 🙏🏼
Hello Gema Sicily is perfect for vacationing. There so many places to see and so much ancient history. Of all our vacations, Sicily ranks at the top. Great food, great people. If you are planning to go to Sicily on vacation, I recommend you watch my Sicilian segments: Taormina, Cefalu, Palermo, Marsala,Agrigento, Catania and Siracusa. A fabulous trip around the island. Re the Godfather tour, you must see Bar Vitelli. Just a caution, if you get a guide, most of them will only show you the church were Michael got married and the other church they pass by after the wedding. My husband argued with the guide for hours. But his persistence paid off and found the Church by chance. A must do. Regards Caterina
Hello Krystian The villa is called Castello Degli Schiavi. It is located in Fiumefreddo town (province of Messina. It is not part of the many Godfathers tours offered. If interested you need to negotiate with the your tour guide. Regards Caterina

I highly recommend the Godfathers tour, it is an amazing feeling standing on the ground and set of the movie.
