Sto cercando di decidere per il mio nuovo basso con cui far pratica; mi hai gia dato un parere positivo in merito al EKO VPJ280 e al Ibanez TMB100 ma ora vorrei chiederti un parere in merito al Cort PJ Action, che e' molto semplice (passivo) ma, ho letto, molto ben fatto e ottimo come rapporto qualita/prezzo. Grazie

Due domande,perché dici di cambiare il condensatore?di serie che valore monta e cosa consigli di metterci in sostituzione?
Per quanto riguarda le corde,le medie o lunghe,vanno bene lo stesso o devo montargli le sue dedicate scala corta?

Ciao. Scusa il ritardo. Non ricordo il valore del condensatore, ma era o chiuso o aperto. Con un orange drop 047 vai sicuro.
Per le corde, meglio montare delle corde non scala 34. ad esempio la Dogal le fà.

Complimenti.Ottima presentazione.Anche io come in molti mi interessa prendere un basso a scala corta. Ci puoi elencare la firma/modello dell condensatore e il valore pF che hai scelto?Quali corde piu reperibili consigli come specifiche alla pari delle Dogal, sempre cercando di avere un souno caldo e rotondo come da te presentato nell video?Saluti e aspetto novita sui bassi che proverai in futuro.
Ciao, i bassi scala corta sono molto interessanti. il condensatore che ti consilio è orange drop che è molto semplice da trovare. come valore io starei sui 047 ma ti conviene far delle prove. Per le corde ti consiglio di provare le Carbon della Dogal.

what's the neck like on this? I see it's wider at the nut than an SR.
the neck is similar to Precison Bass
It's a mix between P and J style necks tbh. It is very flat, so not a baseball bat, but it is a bit wider than a J style neck.
Ciao Gianni, ho avuto modo di provare il TMB100 e mi è piaciuto molto; purtroppo il TMB30 (su cui sarei orientato) non sono riuscito a trovarlo in nessun negozio. Tu hai avuto modo di verificare - sto parlando prevalentemente della tastiera - delle similitudini significative tra i due modelli? In sintesi, la buona impressione che ho avuto sul TMB100 può rappresentare una indicazione significativa per il suo omologo a scala corta? Ti ringrazio

found this at a local store and gave it a try. It looks great, sounds great and feels very good in my hand. I almost bought it except for a loud buzzing sound at the 1st fret 2nd string. the guitar tech tried to fix it, adjusted the bridge, the truss rod, but the buzzing is still there. Does anybody have the same problem?

I think it needs a fret levelling
Fret levelling job needed but I thought the guitar tech would have used a bit of superglue and ground bone sprinkled on the slot of the second string for at least a temporary fix.

@@bassdiscovery4050 avevo pensato al 100 ma mi stressa la batteria perchè per il tipo di basso che è non andrei ad usare l'equalizzatore e da quello che ho capito non si può mettere in modalità passiva. Sbaglio?

hello, thanks for the comment. perhaps that particular instrument was not successful ... on many instruments. it can happen.
If using any strings other than roundwounds you will need to upgrade pickups . Flats, Chromes, Half rounds don't cut it. Upgrade P pickups and it is a dream machine with any strings.
Thats true. I put the Geezer Butler set (so P and J-style) by EMG in mine and this thing rips everything to shreds now.

Ciao, e complimenti per il tuo lavoro. Potresti darmi un consiglio? Sono indeciso tra questo Ibanez e lo Squier Jaguar SS: quest'ultimo l'ho provato, la tastiera mi soddisfa (dalle dimensioni dichiarate risulta essere 3 mm più stretta), meno il suono (che invece mi è piaciuto nel tuo video). Purtroppo in zona Firenze l'Ibanez non l'ho trovato e non sono riuscito a provarlo. Grazie
Ciao Massimo, grazie ! Sinceramente preferisco il Talman 30 anche se il manico è leggermente più "Ciccio" e lo Squier è rifinito meglio. Comunque son 2 ottimi bassi scala 30.

What makes it "short scale"
The length from the nut to the bridge saddles. 30 inches instead of the standard 34 inch "long scale" (Jazz bass, Precision, etc).

indicativamente sui 700 grammi, poi dipende molto dai legni e da strumento a strumento.
Sapresti consigliarmi un condensatore?
io andrei di un valore classico ma se puoi prova e cambia, la spesa non è esagerata.

Them neck bends...
Just goes to show if you are a half decent bass player (and he is more than decent) you can make a £200 bass absolutely immense!
The bass sounds good but I can't get around that ugly headstock. Why did they make it so big?

I think it would be fun to rip the frets outta this thing and make it fretless. Anyone do that yet? For the price, who cares!
