0:38 I like the Navy livery on CP 7022, although it is hard to see in this clip 1:04 a hopper car in between stack cars?! I've seen flat switching like this back in March 2:20 looks like those two geeps found a new home. 4:25 an all-NS triple-header in New Mexico! (plus another one later in the video) 5:07 four P42s and 10 single-level cars. I saw four P42s with a 9-car superliner consist at Moffat Tunnel in 2016 (with 156) 6:40 1069 leading followed by a clip of 1070 leading! 9:30 814's stripe transitions perfectly to the stripe on the Superliner! 13:06 nice catch of a UP diesel towing Siemens Venture cars for Midwest services 14:14 nice catch of one of those Herzog well trains moving on its own, with an unusual loco. Guess CN got one of their own too 15:04 that's a lot of steel coils! 15:58 seeing Amtrak MOW cars is always neat. In this case, 60 ballast hoppers 16:38 two locos sandwiching a single covered hopper 21:30 an epic 10-unit lash-up 26:37 nice catch of NS 1066 in a long (6-unit) BNSF lash-up 27:20 2 out of 6 units in that lash-up of warbonnets!
The zoom at (17:30) is truly amazing. I wonder if a security gear company would help sponsor? OpenEye, Milestone, Avigilon and others are beginning to employ AI s/w to spot events in looooong video streams. Priceless: SpaceX rocket seen from train station.
@@rearspeaker6364 Very true. Fuel tanks are never empty, but, I've never found any locomotives with over a half tank when I worked in the diesel house doing daily running repairs.
23:08 How can you see that there is a train coming? I can hear the sound the train makes but with all that snow coming I could not focus on where exactly the train is.
Ohhhh! I like those new Amtrak cars!!! Certainly hope they're going to replace the old soup cans with them. Never did care much for those after they infested my Heritage Fleet Hiawatha.
Did I spot one of the former EMD SD70ACe demonstrators in there? I have no idea what happened to them. First HO-scale loco I bought as a naive Brit starting out in model railroading 🙂
8:00 Interesting fact: on the FedEx sign there is a white arrow between the E and the X pointing to the right! Once you see it, you can’t ‘un-see’ it! 😎
Yes I saw CN 7600 and 600 in Progress Rail before 7600 left. 600 may still be there but 7600 is in eastern Canada now I have footage of it on my channel @B-town Railfan
11:43 I’ve never noticed the mountains there. It’s beautiful

GP35? at 2:20?
Very impressive power lashup for the BNFS at 21:20. Great compilation !!

I wish I saw those in person, they would've sounded nice a quiet for a train

Are used to work servicing vehicles filling in for fuel those bobtail truck can hold up to 2000 gallons of fuel so that’s quite a bit
2,000 gallons into a 4,000-gallon tank. Still needs to be topped off.
@@rearspeaker6364 Very true. Fuel tanks are never empty, but, I've never found any locomotives with over a half tank when I worked in the diesel house doing daily running repairs.
Hi. I’m a new rail fan. Got a little bit of everything. Thank you for answering my question on how they added fuel to a locomotive.
Past, Present, AND Future in one-frame. Awesome!
the ghost hopper was the best :D
The launch... Now that is cool
Very cool and can conductors leave the cab when the train is in motion?? I thought that was a big safety problem
Depends on the Railroad, its was done commonly to avoid having to stop the big frightrains but i think it's banned.
@@utaamtrak9584 I was thinking the same thing because what if another train came the other way a side swiped them that wouldn't be a good thing
4:42 Now this is what I call it a "Quadruple Header" since it has 4 engines leading 49.
“I’m free! I’m free!” “Here we go again.....”
More and more cars are ending up under the influence of "Thomas The Tank Engine".
Shouldn’t the brake lock the moment air pressure leaves the system due to a break?
@@thomasboese3793 Timmy-Fe you gotta be more careful with how you bump the cars

I am going to get my 7 engine Amtrak one day 😁
Cool video
Would be so cool if the cam locations had scanner audio, even if just with an internal short range vhf antenna
Good catches.
Sweet catches
What is on those centerbeam flatcars starting at 12:15?
Ohhhh! I like those new Amtrak cars!!! Certainly hope they're going to replace the old soup cans with them. Never did care much for those after they infested my Heritage Fleet Hiawatha.
Wait wth
I saw that 4 engine Amtrak
What was on the center beams at 12:29?
What type of train was that during the SpaceX launch?
Are those new passenger cars going into service with Amtrak?
Yep. They're the new Siemens Venture cars for Midwest service to replace the Horizon and Amfleet equipment currently in use.
@@CorySticha they are nice but i just cant get enough of amfleets. Idk why
Thanks - just caught up on an article about them! Nice to see these improvements in the Midwest!
Big snow at the curve
What is the purpose of that train in the first clip?
12:42 when your scratched lens cover acts like a star filter...
Beautiful videos
Is there a work train at 14:13? 😮
Wooooooot it’s a grab bag 👍
2:58. Wow! I’d hate to have to pay for that oil delivery!
20:22 anything for that perfect shot.
So what’s with the engine-hopper-inspection car(?) consist at 00:27 that shows up trolling the cameras?
Four engine Amtrak train?
A great place to have a camera would be kingman, az. There is a ton of bnsf intermodal traffic there.
Makes me sad 13:53 Wisconsin Central cars all the way in Washington. Can't ever see them in Wisconsin 😭
8:07 those are all actually FedEx Ground trailers. No Express
Nice footage

So are those 100 year CN like rare heritage units? Because my brother and I got an amazing catch of the 100 year CN with the blue devil

What was going on with those 4 BNSF units (the one including Fakebonnet)
Nice
Why is the resolution on the camera’s so bad now? It’s gotten very difficult to see much detail at night.
Well at least FedEx on the rail line the right way 😁
Anyone seen CN new HU's

@@nonexistentialcrisis yes
yes I have video of them
Why did they need 4 Amtrak’s ???
More than likely a power move to balance things out.
I dunno... four engines seems a bit overkill for a train that's around 11 cars long 🤔
Could be repositioning engines or on their way to Beech Grove.
@@selliott00 power balance seems more likely as there’s a few routes that are the only Amtrak operations in and out of those areas...
29:35 Anyone else so the guy riding the end of that covered hopper car?
