I also think we need to encourage farmers to landscape their Zameen and dig small pits and direct water so that they have water for usage during summer. I think this will save more.
I also hear central and state ministers saying they will connect the rivers which is unrealistic expensive useless idea, instead they should invest in rain water conservation in every little way.
Such a great initiative.. Love your efforts and dedication

Sadguru's step is really very worth. Another small point coming me is, in a good rain season, what actually happening is, so much of water is directly going to sea. What can be done is , there should be intermediate mini dam type structures at suitable places, through out the river route, so that we can store thrice or much more amount of water . Thank you a lot for this video.

Along with agroforestry we need to save river bank sand, which would act as sponge to sink water into sub soil surface

3:00 Apart from deforestation, reason for water crisis is also too much unwanted population. Given the size of the arable land, forestry, proportional water sources India can't afford more than 70-80Cr.

Vary simple madam. Frist that gentel men to study the main subject of Geography. Then to study the river of South India. Maximum his question avilable. Need not require any more of preserve the river of cauvery. Because his native karanataka. That to know each and every thing.

So people destroyed forest to much in this century ....if it's not taken care ,we soon make our land dessert...........also erssion .......
Also fossil fuels also going to end in 30 years and all the nutrients ,minareals, vitamins are removed by minings, agricultural, and spilled in the form of cars, buildings,foods,cloths,..... We have to put back the nutrients back to soil ,
