You stayed in Blackheath. Blackheath has THE best view in all of the blue mountains (Perry's lookdown and Anvil Rock lookout). It's also the start of a drive through the Megalong Valley!! An absolute amazing drive.
The Blue Mountains are just amazing, really gives you a sense of scale to this amazing country. A short trip out to Bathurst and a drive round one of the most iconic racetracks in the world would have been a great edition to your journey. Can’t wait for Sydney!
with all that walking and fresh air you two have added years to you life. Glad to see two poms having a good time in paradise. stay safe. n watch out for the slippery lines
Brought back great memories of our visit there in 2017. Paired it the same day with a visit to Featherstone animal Sanctuary. Had a delightful time with native Australian animals.
I'm lucky to call the Blue Mountains home and I'm old enough to have ridden in the old Skyway and Scenic Railway carriages on display. I hope you got a little sunshine while you were there.
In your video you show a roller coaster track going across the road at the scenic world just as you enter the car park. This roller coaster was built in the late ips and had the track go over a cliff and down the cliff. It was never opened as in testing they put bags for passengers and one of them had fallen out. So due to safety it never opened as I'm sure there could have been a passenger fall to their death. Just a fun fact.
I’m one of those nut jobs that goes hiking in this stunning world heritage area national park. I very rarely see anyone on my hikes. Truly a very special part of the world
Loved this video. I was born in Katoomba and you almost drove past our place at the base of the Blue Mountains right near the Nepean River. I remember going down the scenic railway many times as a child in the old designed train and across the skyway once again the old one. Absolutely loved the thrill of them. Shame about the weather…guess you’ll just have to come back someday 😊
You guys have done some great content in the past and put a lot of work in, looking at the viewing figures it's sad to see people aren't that interested in Australia. Hope you're both enjoying it.
Hey Misterr279, thanks for the kind comment. It is all the ebb and flow of being UA-camrs. We found the same a couple of years ago when we made videos in the US that people were uninterested in. We don't take it personally :-) If we didn't love it, we wouldn't do it. We are really excited for what we are doing next and we hope someone as cool as you enjoy it too!
What a lovely video . I love the Butter box point loop track . You have to take a dirt track road through the forest and then the narrow road winds around the mountains until you get to the hiking track . There is only a handful of people there . As you are walking on the track it narrows out and then there is a big drop into the valley where you see a long river winding through the forest . The sand stone cliffs are awesome and there are other rock formations and some caves . It is a very peaceful place and is very raw because there is no fencing ! Your video is very nice thank you !
So appreciate what you post. We plan to visit in March. 2x the grand canyon ?? - woah - i have been to the GC. Cannot wait to see this IRL. Your videos are always fun and i love the choice parts that you share with us. Good times. Travel on!!
Hello Calico! You will absolutely love it there. We wish we had spent more time there. Have you given yourself much time there? Thanks as ever! Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam sadly we will be at the blue mountain area for one day. We are hitting the highlights. Not quite slow travel.. it is a two week tour after an 18 day drive around New Zealand. We do what we can!!
That is totally different to what we imagined it to be. I think I’d have lost the pie on the scenic railway though. Great video as always, long live mince and onion pies!!!
Hi guys! I giggled at the screams on the train once it left the platform 😅 I can imagine for some it would make them nervous. Good fun! I've not been to Australia, although I worked for an Aussie bank for 4 yrs. Relatives have gone, and some twice and every one of them loved it. A bucket list destination for sure 😊 Hope you're feeling better, too. Take care and look forward to next wks episode 🤗
Hi Kate, Definitely should be on your bucket list. We will visit again sometime and devote more time. We didn't give ourselves enough time here. Best wishes! Neil & Sarah
Good to see you back. By the way, how do you find driving in Aus vs UK? I'm heading back for a visit to England in September and it's 20+ years since I last drove there.
Hi Daniel, driving in the UK is a little more aggressive but really isn't too bad on the whole. M25 and places like that can be a little crazy at times. But you will be fine. Thanks for your support as ever. Neil & Sarah
Did this in 1997. AFAICR there wasnt that Perspex cover on the train. Ah and now i see the old train you showed so that was probably what we went on. Regards missing people i know someone who went missing and lets say it wasn't a happy ending Dont wander off into the bush by yourself.
We use Davinci Resolve Studio. There is a free version that is very feature rich that if you are looking to edit video I would recommend starting with.
You recently mentioned that the videos of Australia are some of your lowest viewed videos. Personally I've loved your content over the years and it interested me because it was showing me places that seemed a bit more exotic or culturally different. Australia maybe doesn't seem that different to other more developed countries so maybe that's why engagement is down.?
Sadly the Australian content was disappointing. You missed filming the largest coastal salt water lake in Australia (Lake Macquarie)twice the size of Sydney Harbour. Sorry but I thought it was more of a tourist video than a travel video.
Hi Karen, Sorry you didn't enjoy our time in Australia. We didn't know about the salt water lake but we will be back. We know our videos aren't for everyone but appreciate you getting in touch.
It's impossible to see everything on a fairly short visit. Just coming down the coast of NSW, if they stopped to see everything (including the mountains), you could probably take many weeks, if not months. You could spend a lot of time just exploring the Greater Blue Mountains area - 10,000 square kilometres (3,900 sq mi), including the Blue Mountains, Kanangra-Boyd, Wollemi, Gardens of Stone, Yengo, Nattai and Thirlmere Lakes National Parks, plus the Jenolan Caves Karst Conservation Reserve. Apart from the natural attractions, there are the man made attractions, like the Zig Zag Railway.
You stayed in Blackheath. Blackheath has THE best view in all of the blue mountains (Perry's lookdown and Anvil Rock lookout). It's also the start of a drive through the Megalong Valley!! An absolute amazing drive.
Beautiful, everything about the Blue Mountains is beautiful ❤

It is just so incredible eh Simon. Vast is the word that describes it best for us.

That place actually looks pretty darn fun. Beautiful as well. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers Skip, yes we loved it and we have added it to our return list.
Best wishes

The old railway use to plummet down with a jolt near the bottom. Loved it.
Brought back great memories of our visit there in 2017. Paired it the same day with a visit to Featherstone animal Sanctuary. Had a delightful time with native Australian animals.
Pleased it helped bring back memories for you. Lovely place isn't it.
I'm lucky to call the Blue Mountains home and I'm old enough to have ridden in the old Skyway and Scenic Railway carriages on display. I hope you got a little sunshine while you were there.
Blue Mountains officially added to my bucket list. Thanks for bringing me along.
Our pleasure!
There are yowies in the Blue Mountains , take care !
Oh Blimey Jimmy... We go very careful!!! :-)

Ahhh wow, we were in your neck of the woods! Very cool.
We'll be back for sure!!!
We went to the Blue mountains and scenic world about 15 years ago - it’s a beautiful place!
Hey DA! It is, and having been then for 300 Million years, we doubt it has changed much in the last 15 years :-)

Always drop into the pie shop when we go past - love those pies! The old scenic train was awesome - no windows no roof - hilarious fun.
Amazing pies! Certainly better than Greggs that we have in the UK!
incredible
Heatherbrae is about 170 klm north of Sydney on the northern outskirts of Newcastle.

Nope, not us Veronica! Thank you, its great to be back.
Blue Mountains look amazing !
Thank you! Pleased you enjoyed it. We had a lot of fun there.
That looked like more than a 52 degree slope! I hope I can see that one day.
You two are adorable! Enjoyed your video

Yes that railway was slightly more exciting that we wanted it to be :-)
Cheers you two!
Amazing!
Thank you so much. Amazing experience for us.

@2GoRoam I understand but atleast you've done a pass through and can schedule a return. Have a fabulous day!

Nice hat, Neil.
Haha! It suits me, don't you think? Love that hat :-)

If you can, don't miss the Lithgow Glowworm cave just down the road:)
Damn Jen, we didn't know about that and have now moved on. Thanks for the heads up though.
It only takes me 90 minute , to do a 50 minute walk .
Haha averages can be useful but... who is actually average in real life? :-)
Spiders 😂 most aussies ain't scared of spiders as wwe grew up with them. You leave them alone they leave you alone, its that simple.
What editing software do you use? I know I heard it in one of your earlier videos, but I can find it.

I’ve lived here for 15 years wouldn’t live anywhere else
Maybe 150 injured 50 lost or missing they usually find the lost ones .. some are missing becouse they don't want to be found.
You recently mentioned that the videos of Australia are some of your lowest viewed videos.
