Interesting how there were no interviews with Jason. Wonder if it was because he was more negative about the whole Progress project and having Robbie back.
I love Jay AND Robbie, I don't think he was negative about Progress. Around that time Robbie used to post blogs about the tour and he often commented that they both (Jay and Rob) stayed awake a little bit more after their shows and that he loved talking with Jay. The boys (TT3) have talked about that period of time between Progress and III and how much they waited a long time for Jay to decide if he wanted to go on until he didn't. IMHO, he was tired and wanted to get away for a long time. He paid his "debt" with Robbie coming again because he felt guilty with his departure in the 90's and his part in it (he has said he felt like an instrumental part in Robbie leaving)... So yeah, I missed his insightful comments through this time (I was left disappointed with each interview where Jason didn't talk) but I now understand he was just doing his best by only being in this tour 😢
It was around this time that he stopped enjoying being famous, so he didn't want to speak. He thought he was worse than the rest of the band, so lost confidence in himself. So sad. We all love u Jay!
Alles OK,Mark?Er macht keinen sehr guten ,gesunden Eindruck,so blass und dee schal und seine Stimmer klingt sehr heiser man merkt wie sehr er sich aufs sprechen konzentrieren muss :(
If you catch this one print interview with Gary from a year or two after Jason's official departure, he says it was super difficult to get Jay to commit for the Progress Tour. He hinted that it might have been the beginning of Jay's decision to just leave it where it was. I'd like to know how hard it was to get Jay to then do the Olympics performance if that was the case. Interesting stuff.
I don't think they were getting along jay didn't do any interviews for progress I don't think I mean I wondered if he had a problem with Robbie coming back
i agree. I think he would have preferred it just the four of them. They had a really good balance going. Reintroducing Robbie disrupted that, and kind of reshuffled their roles. PIty. @@mattyboywalker9094
