Hey Nigel thank you, I always return something, weather it be… money , love , time etc. goes such a long way in my eyes and to reach any goals in life it’s nice to have people to share it with rather than beg borrow or steal to get to the top because you’ll get there lonely. Awesome work, glad you gave it a polish, rare cars now, it's 18 years old and rust free, and in white i don't think i've ever seen one in white, puts my mk2 8v gti also in white (when i brought it at 11 years old in 1998) to shame as it was a little rusty in places bottom of door, edge of bonnet etc, we did fix the rust and kept it 6 years until gear box broke for 2nd time and it gained 70k more miles from 139k in 1998 to 210k in 2004.
Hey bud thank you 👍, so this one was silver originally and Nathan re painted it a few years before it broke. Yes seat seemed to have used good metal on these as the underneath was solid to, Nathan actually has a mk2 golf aswel that he wants to rebuild. Blimey that’s good mileage for an older car good job 👍
Enjoyed this, thanks. Just started again on my Bora after leaving it for nearly two years half way through an engine change and wideband conversion. She’s in a mess too lol. This has given me inspiration to get back out on it so thanks again. Until the morning I’ll sub and check out some more vids I guess 💪

nice, did you use a genuine maf? as aftermarket can throw a light and the genuine ones can be hard to get.. , id leave it as is as it looks good not a fan of white but you don't see white much, at least you know the door locks are working as puddle lights are on well the micro switch as there a common problem, hope you asked sam lol
Hey bud sorry for the delay, yes he managed to get a genuine one from TPS.. he’s left it white at the moment. Yes all still working he did have water leaking in through the door seals but fixed them.
@@YTDTETV NP, nice one on maf cross fingers min ok but have used electrical contact cleaner on it once, yea doors seals card be hard to get and no wonder they went looking at the moss on card probley dried them out, also if you do the locks the inner panel uses foam seal that breaks down and causes leaking and its common issue, i used butyl tape problem is its a pain to get panel off if needed but it works, some have used silicon sealant but that don't work lol.
Mine has been sat for about the same time fell out with it after the head went but decided to bring it back to life had it from new but the paint went crap it's the red one inside same state as mine but definitely something about them 😂

@@namAlexander happy days yes the cheap maf’s are no good, he also tried silicone on the door cards and didn’t work. Good idea with the tape.
