"Aromantic" is a romantic orientation and spectrum that refers to someone who has little to no desire for romance. The opposite term would be alloromantic, a word that describes people who experience romantic attraction and desire romantic acts.

Aroace here! This is so nice to see aro/ace people getting represented and supported. As a aroace scared to come out to others, this is a safe place for me! it’s scary sometimes but I’m aroace and that’s all! Never been in love! Well true love, platonic love yes.
As an aromantic, I cannot physically describe how happy this makes me feel.
For those of you who have been told that you aren't valid, or that "love is a human emotion", no, LOVE is a human emotion, ROMANTIC ATTRACTION is not something you need to be valid. You can have just as deep a connection platonically as you can romantically, I should know, I have both and I love my friends and by boyfriend with all of my heart. If romance isn't your speed, you don't have to do it, you can just have friends! It's perfectly valid to not want that relationship and it doesn't make you less, ya just don't like kissin'
As an aromantic it makes me so happy to see a pride map about aromanticism, since most of the pride maps never show us

I'm not Aroace or aromamtic but man i wish i was :') being able to live your life without needing a single source of romantic/intimate attraction sounds amazing. Plus you've got yourself, friends and family to be happy! And i feel like that's enough ^^

On a lighter note, I'm glad I was able to participate in this multi animator project (even though my part was hot garbage). The people in the server were very delightful to talk to and I am happy to spread awareness and advocate about a minority that many of my friends (possibly myself, i am still questioning) are a part of, especially since I live in an area where people are not as accepting. Thank you for letting me participate angel

This is actually really funny because I am somewhat aromantic, I am not interested in relationships in real life but yet I have a waifu (Zero two and the klaxosaur princess from the same anime.) Would that still be considered aromantic? I am not exactly familiar with the lgbtq+ community, but I have lgbtq friends. So I am a tiny bit familiar but not too familiar.....
Edit: good job on this map everybody! Everyone did such a good job! This is one of my favorites along with dollhouse.
There are a lot of orientations on the aro spectrum!! I definitely don't know all of them but a couple I'm familiar with are oriented-aro and lithromantic. Oriented is basically aromantic but you experience aesthetic attraction (attraction to the way someone looks but with not desire for romance or reciprocation). Lithromantic is when you feel romantic attraction that goes away upon being reciprocated or you simply just don't have the desire for reciprocation. I'm aro and ace, I might be oriented but idk. I hope that this helped!

This was so satisfying to watch, as an aromatic myself, I couldn’t relate more XD makes me feel good since I’ve always been told it’s unnatural and I know now why I can’t form that kind of relationship on my end with someone. I’m aroaceflux and this makes me really happy. Also all these animations are so smooth! I myself have a queerplatonic relationship with my Boyfreind (he is heteromantic-asexual and we are in a gay relationship) and I am also abrosexual (fluidity of sexuality) and it’s so funny how you can get in a relationship without being attraction to them. Also if you are aro and/or ace and you are okay with dating that’s okay!
