Newb here! Love the products and the content. I’m looking for some help. I have a 99 brass servo and the short horn. The ends on my steering linkage don’t fit the size of screw needed for the horn threads. Is there a different horn or what’s the correct size of ball end?
Thanks for the support. I would need to know what car you are running it in. if it is a scx24. most people are using a nut in front of the servo horn.
Just saw the video on the smart 179 install on the losi mini lmt im assuming both the micro 99 or the 179 is an option just one has better specs correct
That is correct.
Other than the reduced power and torque, are there any issues running the 99 micro or 179 Smart servos with 5V power and a 3.3V PWM signal?
There shouldn't be an issue, outside of the ones you listed.
I have a VRD Carbon I'm looking to add a micro servo for a winch. it's just under 6.5 lbs. Will the 99 micro work or is it worth paying almost double to get the 179 micro understanding the additional cost of the winch accessories and programmer that would be needed?
The 99 will work, just keep in mind it is a micro servo winch. You can't expect it to pull your truck from a wedged spot, it is more of a little assistance.
Hello, I have a vanquish vs410 pro. I have a reefs micro 99 servo winch. I want to put the micro servo winch beside the stock steering servo where a full size servo winch can go. Do you guys have an adapter plate to put the micro 99 in place of a standard servo? Similar to the mount for the raw100 standard servo adapter plate?
We do not have an adapter mount. We have the micro 99 winch mount you would have to modify to make it work. The raw100 mount is the only mount that converts a micro into a standard mount.
hi im looking for a replacement servo for in my fcx18 lc80. im not sure if it would be a direct fit or if anything else would be needed? the whole rig is fully brass upgraded so its quite heavy thanks for any help
I would get the Micro 179 for the extra power. On ours, you need to space the servo out slightly. we are also using our micro shorty horn.
