I just started getting into Frank ocean and i genuinely had no idea he wasn’t making music anymore. His stuff is so timeless I thought it was released recently. That’s crazy
@@AmandaSaiii same, i remember thinking of Ivy as a love song when i listened to it in highschool 😭😭 actually looking at all the lyrics as an adult now hits so different
I was a teen with no personal music taste nor much life experience when this album came out so I genuinely thought it was just okay and far behind channel orange until I randomly revisited it last year as an adult with a fully formed frontal lobe after going through relationship troubles... first album to ever make me continuously cry (both sad and happy tears) while listening from start to finish. Pink + white was always my fav song (still is) but since last year I've had a completely different understanding of it.Thank you Frank.
This is almost exactly my experience! I listened to Channel Orange like crazyyy for years then when Blonde dropped I missed it somehow. I just listened last summer and haven’t been the same since. Your life experiences really shape how this album makes you feel.

I remember for years in highschool I emotionally couldn’t move past the first two songs on this album, I think it was when I reached around 18 I could actually listen to it in full, such a beautiful experience and amazing album man
Every time I listen to this album I'm reminded how incredible it is. It's like a crush where my perception of the album goes down when I'm away from it but as soon as a hear it again it becomes a masterpiece to me. Genuinely one of the best art pieces ever made, masterpiece.
I haven’t even finished the video yet, but I just have to say wow dude. This is genuinely one of the best reactions I’ve ever watched. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone understand this album so much on first listen. Music for me is always about emotions and tiny little bits of songs that just make you feel things. I think you broke that down perfectly. Obviously it helps that you’re a musician so you’re more likely to notice the smaller things, but you broke down every little detail to perfection. This is one of those reactions that make you feel like you’re listening to the album for the first time again. You did an incredible job. Thank you, because I haven’t really been able to feel that with this album yet, which sucks because it’s my favorite ever. Edit: oh my god your Godspeed reaction is incredible 😢😢😢
21:33 dude you’re like THE ONLY person I’ve ever seen get that super ironic transition it’s so genius… Your passion of music reminds me of my own forreal, your love and your attention to detail, your willingness to LET EVERYTHING TAKE IN and listen, I love it.
its crazy that I listened to this album many times and watched several reactions and interpretations of it and still watching your video make me feel like I listen to it for the first time. Your reactions and such a detailed exploration of the melody and lyrics allows me to feel what I felt for the first time listening to Blonde once again, but in a new, even more interesting way. Thank you for that video ❤
i had never listened to this album before this year, but one of my friends listened to the first half of it with me during a study hall class and told me all about his favorite songs. a couple weeks later, we had a senior in my school pass away and all i could do was go back and listen to “ivy” on repeat. “i ain’t a kid no more, we’ll never be those kids again” hits different knowing that one random day i woke up and the innocence of my childhood had vanished overnight without me even knowing. anyway, frank ocean rocks, and if my friend sees this (bc i told him to watch this video lol), you really helped me out by showing me this, buddy. :)

it gets better with every listen man, this is one of those albums that is so layered that you find something new every time. ive listened to it maybe ~150 times if i had to guess. even when i last listened to it a few days ago i was catching things. this album is incredible in ways that im not sure i, and probably a lot of people, could explain in words. and skyline to is not a filler track. i think the progression and the vocals/lyrics work in tandem to create something that can help to explain the beauty of the natural world, and sharing that beauty with someone. some adam and eve type shit

You HAVE to listen to Endless now, it came out the night before Blonde, there's so much to the entire Frank Ocean tapestry and its all so worth diving in. My favorite artist of all time, his music completely shifted my life and made me who I am, really recommend diving into all of it.
I used to have an awesome job and one of the aspects was product photography, so I could tuck myself in the all-white photo room, crank the aircon super cold, put headphones on and just listen to shit. I listened this album for the first time around then, got obsessed and listened to a podcast that went through and focused on each song each episode. The lore around the album is insane. The way he finessed his record label, the bandaid on the hand from the fistfight with Chris Brown, the placement of the beat switch on Nights in the middle of the song and also the album as a whole, the answer to the final interview question at the end of Futura Free - which is the last thing you hear - is actually the length of the track itself. Tbh, if Frank never releases another album I'll understand. We'll always have Blond.

wish you could listen to an amazing brazilian singer, producer and composer Tim Bernardes, his songs have a more tropicalia vibe, but also indie his debut album “Recomeçar” its simply HUGE, the way he tells a story through the lyrics and uses melody it’s just amazing (ps: he’s also like, the brazilian version of hozier) Anyways lots of love from brazil ❤❤🇧🇷
first time ive stumbled upon your content and this blew me away. having someone listen to blonde for the first time is always such an ethereal experience so having you appreciating all of its layers on the first listen is so nice to see. channel orange is also a great listen! maybe not as conceptually sound as this but id say its more of frank getting into his bag and showing us what he can do. amazing reaction, would love to see more.
Just bawled my eyes out… I’m glad this album came out when I was 16 and was dumb and had no life experience. If I first listened this TODAY, I wouldn’t have come out of my room for months
There are some albums that I listen to on repeat, and/or on shuffle, to the point where I cannot discern which song is which. Just that I love them. After listening to Frank Ocean on repeat, the style of his music just allows the sounds and the words to all bleed together into one indescribable work that takes you on this incredible journey of emotions and deep feelings. I cannot listen to this album without every song- I love it so much. Also, I started listening to Frank around the same time I started to figure out I was queer (and then hopping into a relationship that sent me on an absolute rollercoaster that messed me up more than it honestly should have) so I guess this album just resonates with me a little bit in that way.
I never fully listened to any Frank Ocean album and mainly only knew Thinkin Bout You. It wasn’t until TikTok that I found all these other great songs. The ending of White Ferrari brings so much beauty and pain every single time. Then his songs got added to GTA5 and I got to spend more time with them.
can i just say u geeking out to the piano to guitar arrangement on pink + white actually makes me so excited cos I FEEL THE SAME WAY!!! MUSIC IS SO BEAUTIFUL FRANK NAILED EVERY DAMN TRACK ON THIS ALBUM
Fun fact: the album is exactly 60 minutes long, and when the song nights switches beats, it marks the exact 30 minute mark which symbolizes the duality of the album itself. Frank is so meta.
i’ve listened to frank for years and this is my favorite of his albums and honestly my favorite album ever. honestly life changing and every time you listen to it you relate to something that you may of never noticed before. when i first listened to it it had a completely different meaning to me than it does now, love it
still can’t believe this is your first listen. it’s one of my top 3 all time albums & yes i was one of the probably hundreds to suggest this. i needed you to listen for his lyricism, but i always appreciate your musician ear breaking down the production too.

5 minutes in and I can tell you were born to listen to this album 😂😂 so happy for you
Edit: that’s the best reaction video I’ve ever seen, I’m just repeating what others have already said but you truly have a way of communicating about music and emotion and intention that I’ve never seen on UA-cam
Thank you so much
I would give almost ANYTHING to listen to this for the first time again!!! Literally one of the best albums EVER. And im a pretty hardcore music addict so... yeah... super excited to listen with you because you're one of the best reactors on here. Lessssgooo💜
this album means so much to me, it was the album that changed how i listen to music, best album ever in my opinion
this is my first impression of you, followed so quickly know a vibe when i see one.
MAn, u just pulled me out of an endless emotional gutter. Havent felt like doing a ny thing for a while now, but you giving me this boost, this ENERGY this happiness, I put my loundry loundring, food fooding, shower showering... all before 12 am
Its wild now he hasn't listened to Blonde. It dropped my freshman year in high school. I wasn't ready at all.
I thought i was watching an old video, but omg you never listen to Blonde? Tbh I wish I was you because to listen to this album for the first time again would be a dream
Channel Orange was the soundtrack to my college years. So many memories connected to that album. And it won a Grammy…
Dude I love the way that you describe and analyze the music theory, story, lyrics and are able to articulate and interpret every songs are why I love watching your videos. Please listen to more albums, I love the way you make the music easier to understand
wish you could listen to an amazing brazilian singer, producer and composer Tim Bernardes, his songs have a more tropicalia vibe, but also indie
his debut album “Recomeçar” its simply HUGE, the way he tells a story through the lyrics and uses melody it’s just amazing
(ps: he’s also like, the brazilian version of hozier)
Anyways lots of love from brazil ❤❤🇧🇷
Your hair looks so good!!😤🤩
first time ive stumbled upon your content and this blew me away. having someone listen to blonde for the first time is always such an ethereal experience so having you appreciating all of its layers on the first listen is so nice to see. channel orange is also a great listen! maybe not as conceptually sound as this but id say its more of frank getting into his bag and showing us what he can do. amazing reaction, would love to see more.
FLORENCE NEXT OMFG IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE THANK ME LATER ('Ceremonials' and 'How big...' first) 'Dance Fever' is a MUST as well.

Just bawled my eyes out… I’m glad this album came out when I was 16 and was dumb and had no life experience. If I first listened this TODAY, I wouldn’t have come out of my room for months
loved the reaction!!! the way you analyze + the attention to the lyrics, loved so much! i’ll be waiting to the channel ORANGE reaction also ❤
love this, still waiting for the tyler reactions tho
51:31 speaking of Freudian you should definitely review Daniel Caesar’s discography
Did I already watch this twice on patreon? Yes. Am I watching it again for the edits? Yes.
I rlly appreciate how u edit the songs now in ur videos it’s fluid
PLEASE DO ARTIC MONKEYS I BEGGGGGGGG 😭😭😭😭
can i just say u geeking out to the piano to guitar arrangement on pink + white actually makes me so excited cos I FEEL THE SAME WAY!!! MUSIC IS SO BEAUTIFUL FRANK NAILED EVERY DAMN TRACK ON THIS ALBUM
the editor cooked with this one
Fun fact: the album is exactly 60 minutes long, and when the song nights switches beats, it marks the exact 30 minute mark which symbolizes the duality of the album itself.
Frank is so meta.
_wish i could listen to this album to the first time again..._
i’ve listened to frank for years and this is my favorite of his albums and honestly my favorite album ever. honestly life changing and every time you listen to it you relate to something that you may of never noticed before. when i first listened to it it had a completely different meaning to me than it does now, love it
SEEING ARCTIC MONKEYS ON THE LIST MAKES ME SO EXCITED TO SEE THAT REACTION HAPPEN THIS YEAR >\\\
Frank Ocean has another album Channel Orange that i would love to hear your thoughts on. ITS MY FAVORITE FRANK ALBUM!!!
When did bro become this majestic
still can’t believe this is your first listen. it’s one of my top 3 all time albums & yes i was one of the probably hundreds to suggest this. i needed you to listen for his lyricism, but i always appreciate your musician ear breaking down the production too.
I’m so glad we got experience this with you 🥹😭
Lovee the way he breaks down the lyrics and paints a story of them. This man knows art!! 💯
