Lock Fyne brewery is a great place to visit and their Jarl session beer was one of the best of our trip. We asked about staying in the van in the carpark and it was no problem so it turned into a full sampling mission! Our favourite brewery tour ever was Hook Norton, so much history and the guide was brilliant. Even pulled our own samples at the end 😁. We parked at the Gate Hangs High Pub who charge a small fee to stay and walked into the village. Happy new year - highly recommend a trip to the Erdinger brewery factory / tour just outside Munich. It costs around 15 euros but you can sign up to be fan club members a year in advance (and attend for free). There is also a great thermal spa nearby for Caroline to enjoy!

Just a few local recommendations for a weekend trip. Hayfield C&CC site, only 1 hr 10mins from Chester, surrounded by lovley hills, great walking for you and Mollie and a few great pubs. We love Castleton but instead of paying C&MC site prices we park on the road at the bottom of Winnats Pass for nothing (lots of motorhomes so feel very safe) Everyone goes on about the NC500 but we did the SW 300 (Dumfries & Galloway) great scenery and far better driving roads. We've also done a few Scottish islands and our favourite by far was Arran. Can be done in 7 days, beautiful scenery, great villages, lots to do and see and very welcoming locals. Another favourite Scottish campsite is Glenmore just north of Aviemore right on a loch and a great pub next door. Also anywhere on the west coast of Ireland. Hi Iain, Caroline, thanks for some great videos over the last 12 months you've given us plenty of ideas for future trips, our top sites within around 2 hours from Chester would be the Morris Leisure sites at Betws-Y-Coed, lots to do and don't miss the excellent Olif Welsh tapas restaurant, Ludlow, historic market town great real ale pubs & the fantastic Ludlow brewery tap🍺 Burrs country park CAM club site which is next to the east Lancashire railway and only 20 minutes walk from the bustling Bury market but our favourite of this last year has to be the Tewkesbury CAM club site , it's a lovely old English town thats like stepping back in time, has great pubs & restaurants a market and a brewery tap, we were there in June when all the battle of Tewkesbury banners are on display, we sat outside the van after an evening out watching the stars with bats fluttering around us 🦇 simply magnificent 😀

Hi Iain and Caroline. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. Found your channel a few months ago as we were researching ahead of buying our own van. A California Ocean called Rosalita now sits on our drive and we’re ready for a few adventures in 2025. While researching, we hired a van and spent a couple of nights at the Brighton Caravan and Motorhome Club campsite. An easy walk to the Marina where there’s quite a few places to eat and you can walk along the boardwalk in to Brighton itself. A great walk for Mollie too!

Hi both, you two make me smile every time, we need this stuff in the UK at the moment. Anyway, thinking of a place to go, somewhere with character, that matches how you two come across. How about Cirencester caravan and motorhome club site. When I had my caravan, I often went, you can walk into Cirencester from the Caravan and Motorhome Club site. It's a lovely walk into the town through a beautiful country park, and you can take the dog as well. Cirencester is a beautiful town in the Cotswolds, and there are plenty of places to visit just outside Cirencester. Of course, there is beer, which is mandatory. Wishing you both a Happy New Year 2025. (Still looking for a van, down to Adria Sports SGX or a Malibu first class, for me and two little Mini Dachshunds)

Hi Iain and Caroline. Another very enjoyable and amusing video. With regard to places you might like to visit..... We took our motorhome to the CAMC site at Castleton in the Peak District in October. Great little site and absolute heaven if you like some incredible walks with amazing scenery. Our Cocker Spaniel, Lando, loved it and I'm sure Mollie would too. Castleton is such a nice little village too. A little further afield, we stayed at a site called Camping Jungfrau, in the village of Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland in June 23. The mountains, including the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau were still snowcapped, and the scenery is off the scale. We'll definitely be heading back there at some point. For our 2025 tour, we're thinking that Camping Grubhof in Austria might well feature.
Thanks for so great vlogs and ideas for places to visit, can I say one of our most surprisingly enjoyable trips this year was to the market town of Ludlow, it has lots of really historic pubs and lots of local ales and also a brewing taproom
Love your channel!!! Why not come down to the Cotswolds. Lots of activities at the Cotswolds lakes and then explore Bibury, Bourton on the Water, Broadway etc. Mollie would love it too 😀

Hi guys - happy Christmas!!! We can highly recommend Gwithian Farm Campsite in Cornwall near Hayle - we have been there so many times. Only a short walk from 3 miles of golden sands and dunes xxxx
Caravan and Motorhome Club Site at Cirencester is great. It’s right next to the Bathurst Estate, and you get a pass with your pitch to come and go through the park into the town centre which is a lovely walk and access to walk through the whole park. Also a fantastic dog friendly restaurant (Roots and Seeds) a few minutes walk away from the site and a very small brewery which is open at weekends. Great beers to try.
Good to see you guys back especially as you must be really busy with your expanding family😂. May I suggest Western Scotland, you could see a lot on a week long trip which could be 9 days if use both weekends. Lots of great sites and park ups now Caroline has done some off grid camping, all the best. Cheers K.

Probably too far away but we had a lovely late summer break at Highlands End campsite between West Bay and Eype on the South West Coastal path. Gorgeous sunsets looking out over the Jurassic Coast. We have only just got our camper and have really enjoyed your vlogs giving us a long list of places to go in the future! Happy New Year! 😀

Come to beautiful Bakewell in the Peak District / Derbyshire Dales. Recommend Greenhills campsite 10 mins walk from town and 5 mins walk from the Thornbridge Brewery which has a taproom. Bakewell is a lovely market town on the River Wye with lots of great pubs, cafes etc, great walks in the surrounding area, or bring your bikes and cycle on the Monsal trail which starts/finishes at the former Bakewell railway station. Enjoy your travels in 2025.

A overseas visit suggestion is Colmar and fantastic villages around. Did this in September/October combined with a week in Germany at Rudeshiem, which I think you might have visited.
You definitely need to get to Black Shuck Country around the Norfolk coast, Blakeney, Southwold, Cromer etc....With the best beer ever at the Adnams brewery!.... Cheers!

Hi, hope you had a great Christmas 🎄 We stayed at the CAMC site at Cheddar in September 2 nights going down to Cornwall and 2 on our way back, a lovely well kept site and really friendly and helpful wardens. Just down the road is Cheddar ales which was only small but really good beer 🍺 A lot nearer home is the Farm Yard Brew Co at Cockerham , there is a camp site near but it's years since we stayed on it .The Brew Co have food vans most weekends and well worth a visit. The Royal Barn in Kirby Lonsdale is a good brewery to visit, large selection of beers. Also good to support the local businesses as recently there has been a devastating fire in the village. Love watching your videos always makes me smile.

Couple of places to go, 1 in uk, 1 in Europe. 1. Cartmel race course. The village is ace, local brewery owns one of the pubs, race events are great, low key and great beer. 2. Have you ever been to the Buxton CAMC site. It was our first trip in our new van in March this year. You walk down into the town through some woods it’s very pleasant. You will find the Buxton brewery. Probably the best draught pint I have ever had. Well worth a visit. Cheers Alan and Ruth.
Come to West Sussex, I’d recommend three vineyards for Caroline to sample the local sparkling wine. Tinwood, Nyetimber and Blackdown Ridge. Plenty of local beers if needed along with the Southdowns National Park to explore…..

Have you been to Dale Farm Rural Campsite at Great Longstone near Bakewell? Super location. Great facilities. 2 pubs in the village and another two within 10/15 mins walking distance. Lots of lovely walks & cycle routes. And the farmer is a fellow UA-camr!
Thank you for the videos throughout 2024. I'm hoping all goes good for 2025 in your travel plans. On our road trip in 2024, we stopped in Luxembourg City, Camping Kockelscheuer. Great 3 days with plenty to do, free public transport and even a surprise visit to see the US War Cemetery with General Pattons final resting place. Brian and Jen.

caroline you crack me up so dry .... for a (bigger) trip in 2025 I really love to run across the north of spain .. san sebastián... bilbao... santander .... gijon... coruna and vigo .. taking in some of the amazing small villages and towns along the coast (nb: if you haven't been before its a similar landscape to cornwall .... without the masses of people and crazy high prices) .. beautiful and calm.

Places to visit in 2025, We've really enjoyed Beamish Museum near Durham, Henham Steam Rally in Suffolk (it's in September) and also Sammy Millers motorcycle museum in Hampshire. Appreciate these are not so local to you, but could be part of your plans for next year.

Hi guys - happy Christmas!!! We can highly recommend Gwithian Farm Campsite in Cornwall near Hayle - we have been there so many times. Only a short walk from 3 miles of golden sands and dunes xxxx

Caravan and Motorhome Club Site at Cirencester is great. It’s right next to the Bathurst Estate, and you get a pass with your pitch to come and go through the park into the town centre which is a lovely walk and access to walk through the whole park. Also a fantastic dog friendly restaurant (Roots and Seeds) a few minutes walk away from the site and a very small brewery which is open at weekends. Great beers to try.

Good to see you guys back especially as you must be really busy with your expanding family😂. May I suggest Western Scotland, you could see a lot on a week long trip which could be 9 days if use both weekends. Lots of great sites and park ups now Caroline has done some off grid camping, all the best. Cheers K.

Probably too far away but we had a lovely late summer break at Highlands End campsite between West Bay and Eype on the South West Coastal path. Gorgeous sunsets looking out over the Jurassic Coast. We have only just got our camper and have really enjoyed your vlogs giving us a long list of places to go in the future! Happy New Year! 😀

Braithwaite village. Great walks from site 2 mile walk into Keswick. 3 pubs in the village also a well stocked village shop.

Hi Iain and Caroline we also live just outside Chester but on the Welsh side and we travel three or four times a year at weekends after work on a Friday to Southport CAMC lots of lovely dog walks and a great friendly site we have booked also to go Christmas next year as Christmas will be a four day holiday love the channel happy new year Maria and Carl and Bettie and Henry the travelling spaniels x

Come to beautiful Bakewell in the Peak District / Derbyshire Dales. Recommend Greenhills campsite 10 mins walk from town and 5 mins walk from the Thornbridge Brewery which has a taproom. Bakewell is a lovely market town on the River Wye with lots of great pubs, cafes etc, great walks in the surrounding area, or bring your bikes and cycle on the Monsal trail which starts/finishes at the former Bakewell railway station. Enjoy your travels in 2025.

Happy Christmas! Well, other than Mortonhall and Stewart Brewing, I'd highly recommend Loch An Eilean, near Aviemore. Amazing bike ride round the Loch! £5 overnight stay semi wild.

You definitely need to get to Black Shuck Country around the Norfolk coast, Blakeney, Southwold, Cromer etc....With the best beer ever at the Adnams brewery!.... Cheers!

Also potential new viewers may be put off if said new Shoes do not have a matching hand bag 😂 two places you should visit are Matlock Bath - it’s beautiful and unique and Bedfordshire - there’s not a lot to see but we might finally get that beer that we have wanted with you 😂 have a great New Year guys ❤

We stayed at the CAMC site at Cheddar in September 2 nights going down to Cornwall and 2 on our way back, a lovely well kept site and really friendly and helpful wardens. Just down the road is Cheddar ales which was only small but really good beer 🍺
A lot nearer home is the Farm Yard Brew Co at Cockerham , there is a camp site near but it's years since we stayed on it .The Brew Co have food vans most weekends and well worth a visit.

I’d recommend you visit some of the Morris Leisure sites near you like Llanberis in Snowdonia or Ludlow and Poston Mill near Hay-On-Wye. Failing that spend a week touring round the Cotswolds! Cheers Matt

The Royal Barn in Kirby Lonsdale is a good brewery to visit, large selection of beers. Also good to support the local businesses as recently there has been a devastating fire in the village. Love watching your videos always makes me smile.

Another great vlog guys. We followed the Scotland North East 250, and it was fantastic. It takes in so many small fishing ports but also the Cairngorms. It would be great to see you do that road trip if you’re thinking of a holiday in the UK.

Couple of places to go, 1 in uk, 1 in Europe.
1. Cartmel race course. The village is ace, local brewery owns one of the pubs, race events are great, low key and great beer.
2. Chamonix, get up L,Aguilar du midi cable car plus train to glacier. Amazing place to go in the summer

Have you ever been to the Buxton CAMC site. It was our first trip in our new van in March this year. You walk down into the town through some woods it’s very pleasant. You will find the Buxton brewery. Probably the best draught pint I have ever had. Well worth a visit. Cheers Alan and Ruth.

Come to West Sussex, I’d recommend three vineyards for Caroline to sample the local sparkling wine. Tinwood, Nyetimber and Blackdown Ridge. Plenty of local beers if needed along with the Southdowns National Park to explore…..

Brilliant for kayaking etc. A great site for Mollie with some fab walks. I don’t know if there are any breweries nearby as I’m sober (22 months and counting) so please don’t put me in the draw😊. Have you been to Dale Farm Rural Campsite at Great Longstone near Bakewell? Super location. Great facilities. 2 pubs in the village and another two within 10/15 mins walking distance. Lots of lovely walks & cycle routes. And the farmer is a fellow UA-camr!

Thank you for the videos throughout 2024. I'm hoping all goes good for 2025 in your travel plans. On our road trip in 2024, we stopped in Luxembourg City, Camping Kockelscheuer. Great 3 days with plenty to do, free public transport and even a surprise visit to see the US War Cemetery with General Pattons final resting place. Brian and Jen.

caroline you crack me up so dry .... for a (bigger) trip in 2025 I really love to run across the north of spain .. san sebastián... bilbao... santander .... gijon... coruna and vigo .. taking in some of the amazing small villages and towns along the coast (nb: if you haven't been before its a similar landscape to cornwall .... without the masses of people and crazy high prices) .. beautiful and calm.

We would recommend Stone Wall Farm CL site Dilhorne Staffs hidden gem amazing veiws quite location within walking distance to two local pub both serves food .

Places to visit in 2025, We've really enjoyed Beamish Museum near Durham, Henham Steam Rally in Suffolk (it's in September) and also Sammy Millers motorcycle museum in Hampshire. Appreciate these are not so local to you, but could be part of your plans for next year.
