Eric’s reps in real time look like they’re being filmed in slow motion. He’s a beast! Such a great personality, too. I can’t wait until he makes it big in Hollywood, and then Dr. Mike completely destroys the men’s health video they make about his training 😂
Absoluteky amazing stuff! Even after 10 years of actively working out this humbled me even more as to proper form! Average gym goer literally has 10% of that proper execution down!
Love that seated row technique I have been doing the one arm version of that and it is awesome. The key is hinge at the hip, stable lumbar but rounding in the cervical spine and focus of allowing the scars to open up at the bottom. The single arm version gives an extra 10-20% stretch at the bottom. I even shift toward the working arm to stretch even deeper. I feel the stretch at the very bottom of the lat insertion WAY better than bilateral. The lat insert typically all the down at like L3.
Unfortunately I have to avoid most of these due to a lower back injury from an IED in Afghanistan. The single most beneficial exercise I've found is the supported, single arm, lat pulldown. That movement alone has been destroying my lats.

Hey, I didn't know my beginning/rookie weightlifting had me doing something by accident that Dr Mike said do, with a slight difference. I do pull ups, but I superset them through my entire workout until I am done. So if I squat, I immediately do AMRAP pull ups after every squat set until I reach my goal of pull ups for the day. I learned this because I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
That weightlessness is momentum, which is an outside force. So Eric is correct to slow down concentric because it keeps the tut consistent. Momentum lowers the intensity when under tension.
Thank you Mike. Anytime UA-camrs or IG "trainers" talk about the back.....its mainly the lats. You do know the Traps are just as important and a very large muscle. Yes rows target both but how you do them counts. And shruggs.😊
