Omg... I know I shouldn't but here I go... I just have to comment on the conversation around 1:40:00 about whether magenta, pink or whatever you call it "is or isn't a real color". TL-DR: Magenta has no single wavelength in nature. Magenta could be real color if you define real as being a color most people percieve. It doesn't however correspond to an accual wavelength found in the electro magnetic spectrum. Magenta is the color our brains creates between violet and red, or in other words, the combination of these two colors (without any green). Even though violet and red are on either side of the color spectrum and you can't slide between them without going through all the other colors, our brains create this "fake" connection between them and displays that as the color magenta. One might say our brain invents the color wheel. Maybe easier if I paint an ASCII picture: How the physical world really works: (infrared, can't be seen) RED all other colors VIOLET (ultra violet, can't be seen) ---------------------------------------------|-------------------------------------------|-------------------------------------------------- Our brains thinks: (wait if I go out this way... .... it would be logical if I end up over here ---------------------------------------------|-------------------------------------------|----------------------------------------------------- This doesn't however really answer what you accually see when you see magenta. What your eyes percieve as the color magenta is the combination of the wavelenths for blue and red, without any of greens wavelength. This can definatly happen in nature, but only as a combination of different wavelengths. This is why you will never see it in a rainbow. A rainbow splits a ray of light into it's separate parts and since the are no single wavelength for magenta it won't be found there (unless you cheat of course and have two rainbows beside eachother that connects it's red and violet). Why you can add two other colors (ex blue and yellow) and end up with another (green) is another question I won't answer here but it has to do with the pigments (or materials, one blue and one yellow) absorbing each others biggest output wavelength, leaving only green wavelengths left for us to see. The real question might more properly be: Is the color wheel real or not? The wavelengths definetly doesn't coonect in a nice little ring in reality, but your eyes can be exposed to light with two wavelengths at the same time creating a need for some kind of manifestation of all combinations in our mind. Puh... sry just had to get it out there... Hope it made atleast someone a little wiser.
Short answer: There are spectral colours and non-spectral colours. Spectral colours only require a single wave. Non-spectral colours require more than one wave. The entire purple zone (between violet and red) is non-spectral. There are tones of red, blue, green, cyan, yellow, lime, etc, that are non-spectral. The majority of colours humans can see are non-spectral. So there's no such thing as a colour not being real. NOT SO FAST. There are a couple of unreal colours that humans can't see normally. But if you trick the cerebrum, some people are able to see these colours. Example: If you have two circles next to each other, blue and yellow, of high intensity and saturation; and you cross your eyes so that the circles merge into one, you might start to see an unreal colour that you can only describe as "yellowish blue" or "blueish yellow" (not green). Those who don't see the colour will mostly see the two circles alternating which is on top, and flickering, blurred details - specially at the edges of the circles. It's kind of a crazy concept to think about, but when you actually see the colour, it doesn't feel special or anything. You just feel like it's a colour you're used to seeing, despite literally never having seen it before. Brains are weird.
Hey NL, have you ever considered giving Use Your Words a try instead of quiplash on the show one of these days? its a similar game but i've come to enjoy it alot more and it adds a little variety instead of 6 rounds of essentially the same, the minigame rotation is pretty solid. of course, this comment will never be seen by, but hopefully others will like the idea and mention it themselves to see/hear your opinion on the idea.
Brandon Bevill except this is the typical "if they're talked about on the show, there's a likely chance they'll die soon" thing that happens on the NLSS
Something about Chris' death just hits me deep. Deeper than any other artist death of this century, despite me liking the work of a few people even more than Chris'. I think it... No, nevermind. Peereezy That was Nick. Ryab said he liked the show multiple times and didn't get why some people were mad about it. He probably just missed it because he messed up the date (this NLSS was on the 11th), and then forgot to upload it. Wouldn't be surprised if he only realised the mistake by chance, reading one of the many youtube comments asking about it.
Lol Quill18 does very well doing his game development streams... hell Arumba did a stream where all he did was figure out Europa Universalis 4 calcuations on Excel, and he had like 7k viewers steady through the entire stream lol
i binged watched the entirety of the horse chicken game while in bed with fever and that episode with austins game might have made me 2 degrees closer to death
I do pay attention to the country I buy a car from so long as it is a older car, mostly about cost and availability of replacement parts and mechanics.

Ryan, speak to anyone who's majored in Computer Science and they will vouch that there are some people who absolutely cannot grasp the logic required to code.
Haven't watched nl in forever, came back straight to this video, man I'm glad I came back
Daniel Brovender if you haven't seen it yet watch April 19
Hey it's dan...
+J-J-J-Joule ghesling
Daniel Brovender you've missed some nlss shit recently my dude
When Ryan said "He died doing what he loved"
I really hoped it would be followed by "Stealing from Gamestop"
its been over a week and i still don't know if this was the best or worst NLSS ever
I'm fucking crying. I'm pretty sure it's all down hill from here.
The pinnacle of their humor. Be it good or bad.
have you decided yet?
little did they know, the chris cornell bit woud end up being so much more topical than they thought

Better answer, definitely. Shorter to begin with.
Seize the means of production, then seize the production of memes.
that part about the dog getting stuck in blanket made me laugh way harder than it should have.... love this show so much ❤
Did you guys actually randomly reference Chris Cornell days before his Suicide

The Chris Cornell name drops kind of sting. Check the recording date.

God has ascended into this show
On the whole topic of using a sock, I was under the same impression as Robert

No SYSTEM OF A CLOWN? Seriously?
Man, the music in Lethal League reminds me so much of Jet Set Radio.

I do pay attention to the country I buy a car from so long as it is a older car, mostly about cost and availability of replacement parts and mechanics.
