1. Yes, I'm aware that Karakhanbar is getting a mission tree soon. If the next update is compatible with my current save, then I'll consider making a part 2.
It'll be out in December, which is somewhat far away. So I want to make sure enough people *really* want to see it before I sink a bunch of hours into a project 2 months after part 1.
tl;dr 4k likes by the time the update drops and I'll make part 2 Karakhanbar (if this save still works with the update)
2. Dwarf part 2 had production delays, but it's still coming.
If the save is on steam version it surely won't survive the next steam update, a few cultures and religions got changed and that kind of change bricks every savefile. But if it's already on bitbucket the Karakhanbar MT's actually already playable

Glad to see more Anbennar content. I recommend Azkare next. It has a long mission tree, challenging since you start off small with inevitable conflict against the Command, and has a "interesting" government reform that combines the species/culture representation in parliament and mughals assimilation
The mission tree is worth like 10 episodes, it is that huge
Azkare is fun as long as the command doesn't get out of hand. By the time you touch borders you are strong enough to beat them, but having to 100% them 5 times for your missions and another 10 to fully eradicate them is not that fun. They need to mingsplode after losing badly in a war.
Yes, I am still salty that they ruined my campaign by sucking out all the fun.
@@adisca2k On the plus side, as long as you help the Northern Revolt they *actually do* ming-splode. They lose like 90% of their out-of-mountain provinces, split into three commands at war with each other in their remaining provinces, and they lose all their slave-state vassals.
@@huntre111 Yeah, that would be the ideal strat when playing in haless. Problem is that it fires quite early, when you are still weak and need to focus on your own expansion.
I did a campaign as Azkare fairly recently. My biggest problem wasn't the Command. There was that one country that I forgot the name of, with a dark green color, somewhere in "India", who spammed an unbelievable number of mercenaries every time I fought them. Like they would have 40k troops before the war and within a month after my declaration they jump to like 300k. The only way to beat them was to do the same thing and go into massive debt every time I fought them.

So fun fact, Karakhanbar does have a mission tree on the bitbucket version of the game, and I think it should be in the next steam release of the mod.

I'm so happy to see this region getting played in. I remember having a discussion out with some of the folk working on the Deepwoods way back when that resulted in some great thoughts and a wonderful article in their Wiki about some of the pre-game history of the Deepwoods. (Particularly in relation to Corin's Party and their Expedition into the Deepwoods!)
I even wrote 2 of the new national ideas that will be coming to the Deep Wood Elves in the next update (Salla Cenag and Salla Fealgarn in particular). This mod means a lot for some EU4 players, so I'm super happy to see you covering it more. There are so many grand storylines, so many fascinating adventures to take. I've really swapped from playing as much base game EU4 just because of how captivating Anbennar is. Can't wait to see more Quarbit.
Now all I need to see in a title is "I Finally Played Vinland..."

Wood elves that choose the open up to the outside mission tree can, at tech 11, open a portal in that very center province that connects to the Center of Eordand in Aelentir. If your capital is in the center province, it counts as a land connection to the other side of the world. i.e. controlling new world land directly
I'm in the middle of a cyranvar game and I'm nearly finished consolidating Noruin under my rule. I think 4 or 5 trade nodes can lead back to the deepwoods that way.
I played the wood elves a couple years ago, it was fun to see the orc side of the deepwoods. Anbennar has been updated so much, I love how they continue to flesh out the map!
Hey Quarbit, I hadn't played EU4 for a few years but your vids on Anbennar inspired me to reinstall and try this mod out.
Just finished my first Jadd campaign, having more fun with map games than I've had in a while.
Now i just need to wait for the CK3 and Vicky 3 Anbennar mods to develope some more so i can give those a spin, cheers!

Would love for an updated Emerald Orcs mission tree to be able to open the tree to gemradcurt after renewing the upper deep woods. Maybe treat them in two paths: monsterous naturalists (we invade and then spread deepwoods, choke the serpentspine with roots because it's mostly mycelium networks after all.....) or a 'civilized' path where you can do a vampire-esque diplomatic mission to give 'peace trees' to everyone who loves you :) and then said trees spread like kudzu and devastate everyone who doesn't follow the Ashen Pact religion.

I haven't played as a nation from the Deepwods (yet), but I've fought a couple of wars there. I had no idea that you could teleport between the paths, neither did I notice the AI doing this. Maybe I should play my next Anbennar campaign there.
Anyway, it's always great to see more Anbennar content from you!
For your human playthrough i would totally recommend Adshaw, get to unite the reachman and defeat the gawedi

@@Quarbit Basically it has a bunch of missions that have a small requirement (usually some mana points) then after you complete that mission, you'll get a debuff where you can't complete a bunch more missions for a number of years (usually like 2-5 I think). SO you end up mostly sitting around and waiting for nearly 150 years, completing a mission here and there every couple of years it's really weird.
Once that's over, you kinda steamroll some centaurs for like 25 years, then hell war the command for 100 years, and that's the MT.
@@m_m2869 Much as I find Lake Fed interesting, I feel like it's terrible material for a gameplay video. It's just gonna be "Hello, it's 1444 and we're playing [insert tag here]" smash cut "It's 1465ish and we are in a three-sided massive death war over which lake is best lake" smash cut "It's 1600 and we can finally do something. Oh, everybody around us is weak as shit and we basically won. Tune in for the next video!". The tags that colonize or fight centaurs early might be a bit more exciting to watch, but still
SO glad to see all the Anbennar content as of late - hope to see lots more in the future too!
Also, just as a deeply nerdy note - there *are* small bonuses that Humans get compared to other races, namely a 2.5% all power cost buff and 25% culture creation cost reduction on the admin side and 5% morale on the military side..
Ok last nerdy thing - the provinces with the "cultivated goods" bonus aren't random, they are specifically the provinces that have Exotic Wood trade good. The fey-attuned races (wood elves, emerald orcs, and forest goblins following the pactseeker faith) get the bonus to goods produced.
I think orcs are fairly undercooked except for one, Masked Butcher into Karashar is one of the better MTs in Bulwar/Serpentsreach. They're very vassal focused (as most countries in Bulwar are), but old-sun cult and very anti-elf.
For your eventual revisit to the Kobolds I highly, highly, recommend the Goldscale Kobolds of Balrijin. One of the better MTs in the entire mod with tons of content.
As always though I'm just happy to see other people enjoying Anbennar as much as I have for the past few years. Haven't touched vanilla ever since I got hooked and it just keeps getting better every update.

If you wanted to do Hobgoblins, I'd advise waiting until the new update, as they're getting a load of cool new mechanics and stuff
I've known about the funky Fey Touched Gladeways from playing Anbennar myself for way too long now, but I genuinely never realised it was Local *Attacker* Dice Roll Bonus instead of Local Defender Dice Roll Bonus

If you play the Bitbucket version of Anbennar, Karakhanbar has a big mission tree. Sometimes the filesize can be misleading, but it's the 4th biggest mission file in the game.

You have to try the orcs in the serpentspine the roadwarriors. They are really Unique in a gameplay sense
It's a bit unfortunate timing you chose to play Sapchopper since the Karakhanbar mission tree is already made and available in the Bitbucket (test version) thus likely also available in the upcoming update
If you're playing as an orc in any fantasy setting and you're *not* insulting somebody, you're doing it wrong.
If you're playing here again: A good way to kill elves early is just to full siege another orc or goblin country, wait for one or two elves to dec. Then you vassalize and eat the elves.
Well @quarbit, the Prime Material plane is the plane where all of the other planes (life magic of the Feywild, elemental energy of fire/water/wind/earth, death magic of the shadowfel, ect) is balanced, also it's the plane where most things happens because of it)

Chipped Tooth Company spawns from Anbenncost, its the one i would recommend. EDIT: Actually no mission tree for them, so i don't recommend, i got confused
Varbuks Freemen can spawn from anyone with 3 half orc minorities

This might be useless advice, but you can pair expulsion(50 adm) with the focus(50 dip) below it to speed up the process

The three orc formable in Cannor are at the moment (i.e. if you're not on the bibucket version) more interesting, their MT got updated kinda recently. Also I think Grombar will have a rework soonish ?
If the save ends up not been compatible in next steam release you could try the flagellant orcs of bulwar, Karashar.
Have you ever tried the Elder Scrolls mod for eu4? It's huge and really fun, and I feel like it could use some love.
Im gonna be honest, i am never paying attention to the anbennar vids but i always play em because i love the vibe, i dont get it, you obviously dont get it, and jeff doesnt either, but whatever youre doing keep it up
Wich dlcs do you need to run this mode? I have all in chronological order until Origins( the Ethiopia and afrikan horn dlc) and the others after I don't have either. Leviathan, winds of change...

@@MagnificientLlama I was checking up on discord for discussion of their content and apparently they are going to be focused on making the world miserable and ultimately merging it with the shadowfell, which iirc is going to be a game-ending event as everything just starts. Sucking, everywhere and forever. So, yeah, sounds like great fun!
@@danielsokulski91 considering all of their early game is focused on decimating surrounding, razing everything and then returning back to their swamp to develop it with stolen goods that sounds about right.
Still no clue what to do after fully reforming
But their religion reform mechanic was amazing for developing institutions when conbined with their convergence (-150% dev cost on provinces that usually have +80% due to being shadow swamp)
I mean green is a pretty neat colour... if you had to choose one to be why not be green?
Maybe you'd even get to photosythesize...

they're being reworked currently, and I covered them a few years ago but I will again when the next update is released

I'm still not any good at actually playing Anbennar, but its fun. Recently did a run as Mithril Dwarves, but that one is now deadlocked/abandonned cause I decided to max out my dwarf company mission tree first, which meant that by the time I had the mithril dwarf nation, Castanor was ruled by 2 massive orc hordes and half the missions weren't doable anymore...

i sow how u played the dwarfs some time ago i tried to play as well i got like 100 desasters in years 1650 serpents rot another curse for rebels after i escaped from those 2 i got obsidian legian to spawn in my territory i defeated it after i got hoarding shit :)))))))))))) i mean wtfk is wrong with dwarf after u start soo damn slow for 150 years at 1600 u need alt +f4 and delete game
btw i played exactly same dwarfs as you but man i legit give up i have x amount of tries and in best case scenario i get only to fight obsidian legion with 6 6 6 stats on generals and hoarding after so practically i will enjoy to play for next 1000 years this game is fcked up
